Trashman’s Week 3 Garbage Grab

Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 3
It took a bit of dumpster diving to find depth at RB this week, but I like the options I ended up with across the board. Let’s do what we gotta do to make Week 3 a success. Here’s the grab…

Darrel Williams, Cardinals – 26% rostered
James Conner is questionable at best, and if we look at how the Cardinals handled his injury statuses last season, he’s on the doubtful side. Williams and Eno Benjamin split time when Conner left last week, so both would be involved if Conner sits. Williams plays a similar role to Conner though and would likely be the goal line back, so I favor him. If Conner does play, Benjamin could actually get involved as a change of pace element.

JD McKissic, Commanders – 26% rostered
A negative game script seems likely against the Eagles this week, even with Wasington at home. Negative game scripts seem to work in McKissic’s favor, as he got 10 touches last week against Detroit, through the air. Let’s get what we can out of JD while Brian Robinson is out.

Wide Receiver
Sterling Shepard, Giants – 19% rostered
Kadarius Toney is doubtful again and Wan’Dale Robinson is out, so it looks like Shepard is in line to lead the Giants receiving corps per usual. He’s not a sexy play, but he’s going to rack up targets against the Cowboys. Play him in PPR leagues.

Noah Brown, Cowboys – 17% rostered
Brown has the second team connection with Cooper Rush going, which would be of little consequence if Dak Prescott was close to returning. He’s not, and Brown is capitalizing while he can – He had 9 targets for 68 yards in Week 1 and 5 catches for 91 yards and a score in Week 2. If Michael Gallup sits this week, Brown makes for a decent flex against the Giants.

Greg Dortch, Cardinals – 13% rostered
Dortch has been rock solid through 2 weeks as the slot man for the Cardinals while Rondale Moore is out. He’s doing well enough that he might actually supplant Moore, even when Moore gets healthy. In an offense that seems to be getting into a lot of negative gamescripts, Dortch is a fine PPR play.

Tight Ends
Tyler Conklin – 18% rostered
I might just put Conklin in here every week until he’s owned in over 35% of leagues. He’s had at least 7 targets in each of the last two weeks, making him the 4th most targeted TE in football so far. With a middling Cincy defense up next, he’ll continue to keep putting up roster worthy numbers.

Quarterback
Marcus Mariota – 17% rostered
If you know me, you know I love QBs who can run the ball for fantasy, and though Mariota is a poor man’s version, he could come in handy if Justin Herbert doesn’t play this week. Mariota hasn’t shown a high ceiling thus far, but his floor is rock solid with his rushing capability.

  1. Team Name: CeeDee’s Hugh JaSol
    Record: 1-1

    PPR LEAGUE:
Need 1 WR: CeeDee or London?

1 RB: Robinson, Etienne or M. Carter?

    QB: Cousins, Brady or Tua?

    1. London is a nice play today. Hard to bench Ceedee, but we won’t talk you out of it.

  2. Samuel or davonta smith?
Matchup tool favors Smith but Samuel ranked higher…

    1. Assuming Curtis Samuel, he is too much a part of the offense to bench right now

    Good morning RW Nation:

Do we prefer Cousins of Carr this week? Thanks

    1. Ranked B2B, Carr is the one, given they may lean on Dalvin today more than last week

    Good morning everyone,
Need on in a ppr, CEH OR D. Pierce?

    Thank you

    1. Pierce is getting more and more work, but CEH is still the lead back on a great offense. Lets roll with him

0.5 PPR metcalf Zeke or pierce? It’s so hard to trust metcalf and Zeke and I already left 20 on the bench with Amari Cooper.

    1. Very tough call facing similar decision- think I’d go w/ Pierce. Yikes benching Amari!!!! He’s looking like a nice mid-late rd pick!!

I was in Cleveland and Jacoby + highish wind made me second guess playing Amari so I pulled him lol. Will start him next week!

  11. 1-point PPR, need a Flex, Ezekiel Elliott or D.K. Metcalf?

    1. Ha we all have this question! In PPR I’d prob give Metcalf a spin in a great matchup at home..

Boy I can’t WAIT to drop Kirk cousins and never play that bum again. Dude constantly loses weeks for me. Going 0-3 even after a solid week
