Trashman’s Week 3 Garbage Grab
Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 3
It’s Week 3, and our fantasy studs are falling like leaves. Fortunately for us, there are a handful of streaming options available that can get us through another week….
Running Back
Kendre Miller, Saints – 30% rostered
Miller has yet to see the field this season, and that’s why he’s only owned in 30% of leagues. With Jamaal Williams being sent to IR this week, Miller has a chance to break out this week against a beatable Packers front. One of our favorite backs in the draft process, Miller is a young version of Alvin Kamara, and he’ll pay dividends hopefully sooner than later.
Tyjae Spears, Titans – 17% rostered
Spears had 10 touches last week, and that’s the threshold for me to consider playing a 2nd back on a given team. Spears is dynamic in space and a terrific pass-catcher, a potent combo and one that can be useful this week against a strong Browns run defense.
Wide Receivers
Tank Dell, Texans – 27% rostered
My sweetest baby son broke out for 72 yards and a score last week, and now that Noah Brown is on IR, the genie is all the way out of the bottle. Playing 79% of snaps in Wk2, Dell is primed to perform again in Wk3 against a middling Jags secondary.
Kendrick Bourne, Patriots – 34% rostered
Bourne isn’t a terribly exciting player in any regard, but he’s already scored twice this season, and he’s led the Pats in targets in both games(11,9) thus far. Sauce Gardner will tend mostly to DeVante Parker it would seem, leaving some fair opportunities for Bourne.
KJ Osborn, Vikings – 10% rostered
Osborn isn’t as good a receiver as rookie Jordan Addison, but he’s running more routes than him, and he’s got a good shot to do some damage against a piss poor Chargers secondary in what should be a massive shootout. If there’s a week to gamble on Osborn, it’s this one.
Tight End
Taysom Hill, Saints – 18% rostered
Hill is a RB masquerading as a TE, and for our purposes that works nicely. He might be the closest thing the Saints have to a goal line back, so even if he doesn’t get a ton of touches, he will get high yield opportunities.
Quarterback
CJ Stroud, Texans – 18% rostered
Stroud is coming off an impressive 384 yard 2 TD game against a Colts team that is defending QBs better than his Wk3 opponent the Jags have been. Stroud has been efficient and relatively error free, at least through the air, and he makes for a solid streaming option for those of us who aren’t thrilled to play Gardner Minshew versus the Ravens.
