Trashman’s Week 3 Garbage Grab

Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 1

And like that, Week 3 is upon us. Grab your garbage goodies while the going is tough…

Running Back

Samaje Perine, Chiefs – 35% rostered

Carson Steele is probably already owned, and it will take a minute for Kareem Hunt to get to speed, so utilize Perine while you can.

Cam Akers, Texans – 33% rostered

Akers will start for the Texans in a tough matchup against Minnesota. Dare Ogunbowale is the only other Houston RB in contention for touches, so Akers could thrive on an abundance of touches alone.

Justice Hill, Ravens – 16% rostered

Hill just signed a big contract that indicates the Ravens intend on using him early and often. A dual threat in the running and passing game, there are lots of ways Hill can get involved this week against a Cowboys offense that just laid down to Alvin Kamera.

Wide Receivers

Jauan Jennings, 49ers – 25% rostered

Jennings is one of the few healthy pass-catchers for the 49ers. You probably can’t use him long, but you can use him this week.

Adam Thielen, Panthers – 24% rostered

Thielen makes for a potential favorite target for Andy Dalton, the new starting QB for the Panthers. His upside is paltry at this point, but he coils rack up points in PPR formats.

Tyler Johnson, Rams – 13% rostered

Johnson is one of a few guys who could end up going off while Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua are out. He’s also the only one of that group who is still widely available on waivers.

Tight End

Jonnu Smith, Dolphins – 10% rostered

Smith will serve as a safety blanket to Skylar Thompson while Tua Tagovailoa recuperates from his latest concussion. Smith has the athleticism to break big plays too, so don’t be surprised if he pops off this week against Seattle.

Quarterback

Sam Darnold, Vikings – 27% rostered

Darnold is a new man in a Vikings uniform, and though he’s down a weapon or two this week, he should continue to put up respectable fantasy numbers in a favorable matchup against the Texans this week. He’s a top 10 QB through 2 games.
