Trashman’s Week 4 Garbage Grab

Trahsman’s Garbage Grab: Week 4
Injuries abound this week, and we have the cure for what ails. Running back is shallow this week, but those are the breaks in a depleted field. Here’s the Grab…

Running Back
D’Onta Foreman, Panthers – 12% rostered
Christian McCaffrey is questionable going into Week 4, so that’s reason enough to roster Foreman in most leagues. McCaffrey hasn’t played a full season in 3 years, so there’s a good chance Foreman makes starts this season. Even if McCaffrey suits up, Foreman needs to be owned at this point.

Wide Receivers
Michael Gallup, Cowboys – 37% rostered
Gallup is making his 2022 debut this week against the Commanders. Noah Brown has been a solid no.2 WR in his stead thus far, but Gallup should slide back into a primary role from the get-go in a game that could turn into a shootout. Gallup needs to be owned regardless if you play him this week.

Jarvis Landry, Saints – 37% rostered
Landry is questionable going into Week 4, but if he starts he’ll be a target hound for Andy Dalton in his first start for the Saints. Expect Dalton to pepper Landry underneath, as there will be no Michael Thomas(toe), and Dalton is unlikely to risk many deep throws to Chris Olave. Landry needs to be owned and started in PPR formats.

Richie James, Giants – 14% rostered
James has been second leading target getter for the Giants behind a Sterling Shepard who is out for the rest of the season with an ACL tear, so he transitions into the de facto lead starting this week. He’ll face a middling Bears defense this week.

Tight End
Robert Tonyan – 31% rostered
Tonyan was 2nd in targets(7) to only Romeo Doubs on the Packers last week, and this week he’ll face a New England team that is a top 10 matchup for opposing TEs and a bottom 3 matchup for opposing RBs. Tonyan makes for a matchup based streamer for these reasons.

Quarterback
Geno Smith – 12% rostered
Smith has been a 20+ point scorer in 2 of 3 games this season. This week, he’ll face a Detroit team that has given up the 2nd most points to QBs thus far. Smith makes for a solid floor with considerable upside this one.

  1. Speaking of Richie James… having the toughest time deciding on a WR3 and a FLEX out of the following:

    PPR (need 2)

    N. Brown vs. WSH
    McKenzie @BAL
    Mooney @NYG
    J. Reynolds vs. SEA
    Hollins vs. DEN
    R. James vs. CHI

Not sure the Trashman’s FLEX ranks are updated with the latest news…

    1. I’d go with James and Hollins, as Reynolds ankle could have a setback

  2. PPR
    E. MOORE OR Etienne in the flex?

ETN could see those targets we have been wanting for him today.

  3. Better ROS dynasty stash: Hubbard or Justice Hill?

    1. Hill, Foreman has the edge on Hubbard

Agree with Trashman. Hill looked as advertised last week. Dobbins may still be working his way back from that injury. Good opportunity for Hill.

Full point PPR need rb and 2 flex from the following
    Zeke
    Akers
    M. Carter
    Garrett Wilson
    Doubs
    Juju
    Gallup

    Also Brady or Stafford

  6. What are your thoughts on Zach Wilson this year? Worth a stash to beat the waiver wire? Would have to drop Toney or Dortch.

Current QB situation is Carr and Mariota in a 1QB league

    1. i would drop Mariota for Wilson if you’re going to stash him

  7. Flying squirrels record 1-2, ppr in my flex Curtis Samuel, Brandon Cooks, or Romeo Doubs

  8. .5 ppr

    Tonyan or Conklin ?
