Trashman’s Week 5 Garbage Grab

Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 5

The fantasy season doesn’t sleep so we need to reach deep. Here’s who you should consider grabbing this week…

Running Back

Michael Carter, Cardinals – 36% rostered
The former Jet is now the 2-down back for Arizona in the wake of losing both James Conner and Trey Benson to injury. Emari Demercado will handle passing downs, but Carter could find the endzone as the short yardage option.

Kendre Miller, Saints – 31% rostered
Miller had 11 carries last week, and when you reach double-digit touches at any skill position, that warrants you for GG consideration. With their upstart TE Juwan Johnson questionable, the Saints will need as many playmakers as they can manage.

Wide Receiver

Malik Washington – 25% rostered
Washington is the next man up after Tyreek Hill exited for the season. Like Hill, he’s a speedster who can break open big plays at the drop of a hat.

Jalen Tolbert, Cowboys – 8% rostered
Tolbert is the 2nd or 3rd receiving option in Dallas while CeeDee Lamb sits. Coming off a 6/61 line in WK4, he’ll look to improve those numbers in his 2nd start as the no.2 WR.

Isaiah Bond, Browns – 6% rostered
Cedric Tillman is on IR, and Bond would’ve been a 2nd round pick if not for his own issues. His looks have increased in each successive game this season, culminating in 6 targets last week. It’s a tough matchup with Minnesota, but he’ll be the guy they don’t see coming.

Tight End

Mason Taylor, Jets – 9% rostered

Taylor had the best game of his short career last week, catching 5 of 7 passes for 65 yards. He should see plenty of action against the sieve-like Cowboys.

Quarterback

Jaxson Dart, Giants – 38% rostered
Dart is green and without his marquee receiver, but his feet will carry him to fantasy relevance against a lackluster Saints front.
