Trashman’s Week 7 Garbage Grab
Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 7
I had to dig deep this week, but that hopefully means you already have good options on your benches. Take a whiff of this week’s Grab…
Running Back
Kimani Vidal, Chargers – 14% rostered
Vidal is the current no.2 RB in LA, with Gus Edwards out on IR. Last week, he got 6 touches and a score against Denver, and he’ll continue to get touches in an offense predicated primarily on the running game.
Tyler Goodson, Colts – 14% rostered
Goodson technically played behind Trey Sermon the last couple of weeks, with Jonathan Taylor hobbled, but he was the more explosive back. Goodson touched the ball 12 times for 65 yards last week, while Sermon touched the ball 18 times and only accumulated 29 yards. With Taylor out again this week, I much prefer Goodson’s upside.
Wide Receivers
Alec Pierce, Colts – 23% rostered
Pierce has been the only consistent WR during the stints of Anthony Richardson and Joe Flacco, as the primary deep threat for Indy. Richardson is starting again this week, and Pierce will undoubtedly get some deep shots.
Xavier Legette, Panthers – 19% rostered
With Diontae Johnson questionable this week, Legette could get pushed into the no.1 WR role against Washington, a team that doesn’t defend the pass well. Legette has shown to be fantasy viable in optimal situations, and this is about as optimal as it’s gotten for Legette.
Jordan Whittington, Rams – 8% rostered
Whittington could once again flirt with double digit targets against a burnable Raiders secondary.
Tight End
Cade Otton, Buccaneers – 37% rostered
Otton is riding a wave of targets, averaging 7 over his last 4 games. He added his first score in WK6, and Otton will look to keep up the good work in a cherry matchup with Baltimore.
Quarterback
Andy Dalton, Panthers – 19% rostered
Dalton’s run as Panther’s QB could come to an end soon, as he’s performed poorly in recent weeks, and it doesn’t make sense to keep Bryce Young on the bench, when we know Dalton isn’t an option for the future of the team, but he will get at least one more start in a plus matchup with Washington. The Commanders are a top 5 matchup for opposing QBs, and Dalton will get a shot to exploit them.
