Trashman’s Week 8 Garbage Grab
Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 7
This week’s picks are like gas station restrooms. Hopefully you don’t have to use them, but if you do, the alternative was probably pretty terrible. Here’s the grab…
Running Back
Latavius Murray, Bills – 21 % rostered
Murray saw a season high in carries(12/45) in WK6 with Damien Harris(neck) sent to IR, and he’s likely to continue to see meaningful touches as long as Harris is sidelined. Pickings are slim at RB these days, but Murray is a consistent component of one of the league’s best offenses. There are worst deep league flexes you could implement this week.,
Darrell Henderson, Rams – 13% rostered
There are a bevy of backs to choose from for LA, now that Kyren Williams(ankle) is on IR, including Royce Freeman and rookie Zach Evans. That being said, Henderson is the only back available who’s started for the Rams before, and he’s been fairly good at it in stints. If I had to choose the RB who I think will get a hot hand on Sunday, Henderson.
Wide Receivers
Kadarius Toney, Chiefs – 31% rostered
Toney has 6 targets in each of his last 2 games, and though he didn’t do much with them, save a TD in WK6, he’s at worst the no.3 target for KC this week. A big play deep threat waiting to happen, Toney has been stymied by his behavior on and off the field but if he can stay out of his own way this week, he could pay dividends. The matchup couldn’t be any better, as the Chargers have arguably the worst secondary in the league right now.
Wan’Dale Robinson, Giants – 24% rostered
Robinson saw a season high in targets(8) receptions(8) and yards(62) in WK6 with Tyrod Taylor under center, and he’ll be a popular target again this week for the dink and dunk QB against a Commanders team that is our 2nd best matchup for opposing WRs coming into WK7. Robinson can break the big play in addition to moving the chains as an extension of the run game.
Michael Wilson, Cardinals – 19% rostered
The de facto no.2 WR for Arizona, Wilson has gone under 56 yards in only one game thus far. He’ll have his best matchup of the season this week against the Seahawks, our 4th best matchup for opposing WRs. He’s more of a PPR special, but Wilson’s floor is comfy.
Tight End
Luke Musgrave, Packers – 33% rostered
The talented rookie Musgrave has had at least 7 targets in 2 of his last 3 games before a WK6 bye. He’ll face a Denver team this week that is the absolute best matchup for opposing TEs in WK7, so chances are good that he sees a season high in targets and yardage. It’s only a matter of time before Musgrave becomes a permanent fixture in fantasy lineups.
Quarterback
Joshua Dobbs, Cardinals – 16% rostered
Dobbs has been in a bit of a lull the past couple weeks, but to his credit those matchups were actually quite tough. This week’s tilt with the Seahawks will actually be his best matchup since week 1. Without James Conner to rely on, Dobbs will need to do more through the air and I fully expect him to take advantage of the fortuitous matchup.
