Often times, there is nothing tougher (or more important) than deciding who your weekly flex-plays are. It can be a mind-numbing experience having to make cross-positional projections.

This season, our RosterWatch PRO community will have personal and exclusive access to our very own disgusting Trashman, who has carefully curated his personal weekly flex rankings in order to help you in gaining input about your roster decisions.

PLEASE Keep in mind, these are not our official RosterWatch Week 9 rankings, but we’ve learned over time to pay extra-special attention to what the Trashman might have up his filthy sleeve – and where he stacks up players against one another for the coming week’s slate cross-positionally.

Our OFFICIAL rankings page here on the site will continue to be updated through the day Saturday and Sunday morning as more information comes in and we become more comfortable with player slotting. In the meantime, have a look at how the Trashman sees Week 9’s slate shaking out – as his inputs to our formula are a key (albeit smelly and gross) component.

  1. 8 team standard league, and 5-3 (but 1st place based on points)
Question on prep’ing for remainder of season and playoffs at WR & RB based on upcoming matchups
QB: Ben, Tannehill (intend to drop RT for Tyrod next week)
    RB: Freeman, Woodhead, Blount, Lacy
WR: J Jones, Hopkins, Evans, Landry, Diggs, Hurns, Cooks
    TE: Gronk
    K: Hauschka
    DEF: NE

I know I need more help at RB, too, but can add S Johnson or Inman off ww (think adding a SD WR for remainder of season & post will help, and Floyd is also available).

Any thoughts on how best to shore up RB; and agree with my thinking on adding a SD WR? I’m thinking about dropping Hurns or Cooks (only due to upcoming matchups). I value your opinions and need help. Thanks in advance.

    1. no need to keep 2 QBs in a small league like that, drop Tannehill and pick up one of the SD guys. Package Lacy with a guy like Cooks while he’s hot for an upgrade at RB. Maybe see if the Marshawn Lynch owner is desperate for a win this week and will do Lacy+Hurns or Jarvis for Lynch.

      1. Thanks for your advice. I’ll try to trade for Lynch or AP (doubtful Lynch owner will agree). Dropping Tannehill today.

  2. Cutler or Luck this week?

    1. can’t believe I’m gonna say cutler. That denver D is going to feast on Indy OL.

  3. In a standard 12 team dynasty league.

Looking to improve my bench. Couple questions:

Keep Agholor or pick up Kamar Aiken off waivers? This would be for my WR5

Also would you keep Sims and Karlos as long term handcuffs for Martin and LeSean, or feel free to drop one of them if the waiver wire coughs up an interesting bench player later?

    I’m 6-2 and 3rd place. Thanks guys!

    1. Full disclosure I have Jamaal Charles in my IR spot for next season.

    2. Keep Nelson if its a WR5 if it were a WR4 I’d say get Aiken.
Would keep both long-term unless WW option is ultra-appealing – both are high efficiency yield handcuffs.

  4. Need some help from the crew of ROSTER WATCH. Can u pick 2 out of these (1pt ppr): L Murray, R Matthews, J Mathews, S Johnson. Thanks for your help!

Forgot to mention that i have Moncrief too, if that matters.

    2. it’s a trashman question I’ll let him answer but please refer to his trashy flex rankings.

  5. Dynasty league trade question.

I give two 2016 first rd picks, they will fall in between 6-12. I receive Mike Evans and a 2016 3rd rd draft pick. I am leaning towards accepting this offer. I am not educated enough regarding the upcoming 2016 draft projects. Thanks for the help.

    1. I’m not giving up two first-rounders in dynasty for Mike Evans at this time and I LOVE EVANS and his future. As you know, we were incredibly high on him as a prospect. I have a feeling he could be had for cheaper at the end of the season should his inconsistencies continue through 2015. I would be willing to give up a first and a flier-like WR for Evans but not two firsts regardless of the level of perceived talent in the incoming class.

      1. Thank you for the prompt reply!

        1. Actually if it makes a difference, I am the owner of 3 first round drafts choices in 2016. Mike evans could help to get me over the hurdle and into the championship game this season. I am the current fluky #1 overall seed with a 6-2 record after losing Le’Veon Bell, Steve Smith Sr. and Kelvin Benjamin. I think that I am going to go after the proven talent. My two first rd draft picks this year turned out to be Nelson Agholor and Ameer Abduallah. I could probably package them both to the right owner, but that is a big if!

  6. I have to start 4 of the following. 1 PPR.

    Dez
    Blount
    S.Johnson
    Watson
    Yeldon
    Robinson
    Diggs
    Gates

    Thanks for the advice!

    1. johnson, gates, diggs, robinson

  7. Point per completion. ….who should I start? Tannehill or bortles? Thanks again

    14 team standard. 4-4. 5th overall

    QB Tannehill
    WR Odell
    WR Landry
    RB Ingram
    TE Gates
    WRT Mathews MIA
    WRT Stevie Johnson
    Def Eagles
    DEF C Graham
    DEF J Norman
    K Lambo

    Bench
    Desean Jackson
    Lynch
    Ebron
    C Givens
    Panthers

Any help to improve team or players to start consistently per week. New to site. Thanks

    1. i might pair tannehill with one of your wrs to get a qb with a higher ceiling. I also might pair a couple of those wrs not named beckham for another elite wr. you have a lot of depth, but you could be leaving a lot of points on the bench once bye weeks are past.

        Thanks Dorian

  10. My team is 7-1 and stacked (thank you draft cheat sheet). The league I’m in pays $100 for the top scorer each week. I’m thinking of starting Tavon Austin instead of Randall Cobb in my second flex position for a little upside risk to get that money. Crazy?

  11. 1/2 team ppr – Tavon Austin or Brandon Lafell? Thanks

  12. Since it looks like the guys are sleeping in, I’ll recommend Lafell. Both guys have high upside potential; Austin because he can break one off on any play and Lafell because he plays for the Pats. Lafell has a higher floor though because Tom will spread the ball around, and Austin will put up very little if he doesn’t get the big play. I thought I heard Edelman might be on lockdown this week too.

    1. Thanks again – you guys are the best!
