Vincent Jackson Returns to Practice

Vincent Jackson Returns to Practice

Chargers WR Vincent Jackson returned to practice Friday after sitting out the first two practices of the week.

It’s a strange situation with his injury because it is actually two injuries- It’s a hamstring and an abdominal strain. Favor an ailing lower abdomen, and the lumbar portion of your lower back (connected directly to your hamstring) takes over the work.  It’s not a good pair of injuries to have together.

He got in one practice prior to Week 4, played for one half and blew up for 108 yards and a TD on 3 catches. He took a much slighter role in the 2nd half after tweaking the hamstring.

Bronco All-Pro Corner Champ Bailey (who would be naturally slated to handle a large dose of Jackson) is coming off a hamstring injury of his own. He told reporters earlier this afternoon:

“I’m playing. Period”
