Week 1 Waiver Wire Streamers: Defenses

Many of you have likely chosen to play a waiver-wire defensive strategy to begin the 2015 season. Here are the streamers we recommend, all of which are likely to be on your waiver wire as they are each less than 50%-owned across fantasy leagues. We’ve included Week 2 and Week 3 matchups as well, for those of you who like to look ahead a few weeks.

Defenses:

Cleveland Browns (21%) @NYJ, TEN, OAK

Cincinnati Bengals (13%) @OAK, SD, @BAL

New York Jets (37%) CLE, @IND, PHI

Denver Broncos (46%) BAL, @KC, @DET

Minnesota Vikings (14%) @SF, DET, SD

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4%) TEN, @NO, @HOU

Jacksonville Jaguars (1%) CAR, MIA, @NE

      Generally speaking it’s in defending order of value. The teams at the top we like the most, and we’ve taken next 2 wks into account

      Very close call- would you have to drop HOU? Without knowing, we’d say roll HOU out. would consider it for CLE o NYJ, and maybe Cincy if you don’t have to drop HOU

    I have Julius Thomas in a PPR league (12 team). Top available are Donnell, Heath Miller (if you reply in time), Charles Clay and Jordan Reed. Should I drop JT or any of Vereen, Eddie Royal or Garcon. Or Carson Palmer (M Ryan is my #1)? Thanks.
