Week 14 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet Now Available

Byron BylineBuilding a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

Whether you play in a standard waiver claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

  1. Do you recommend claiming Malcom Mitchell, even if you already own Edelman?

    1. @abnerlofton the Gronk U tour continues!…. I also have Edelman and claimed and played Mitchell alongside him this past week(I was going against Brady so that played into it). Bottom line is its Brady throwing the ball.

      1. LOVE MM at home vs BAL this week- get him in your lineup

    2. yes, if not to let anyone else use him.

  2. .5 PPR league and I’m trying to figure out who to start in the flex since the Chiefs play on Thursday.
    Tyreek Hill or Michael Thomas?

    1. With Maclin back- prob Thomas

  3. Ppr. Stuck trying to figure out who to play in 2 of my flex positions. Parker, ginn, meredith coleman or lee

Need some help deciding who to start between Carr @ KC or Eli vs DAL. I have a very unique scoring system that is heavily weighed on LENGTH of touchdowns. Essentially, every extra 20 yards a TD goes for means you score an extra touchdown. Guys like Ted Ginn (who I picked up and played each of the past 3 weeks), Hilton, Wallace, Brown, OBJ, Julio, Stills, Diggs, etc become substantially more valuable in this league. Also, QBs score 5 points for every 40 yards passing, but only AFTER they hit the 150 yard mark. See below:

    1-20yd TDs: 15 points + yardage
    21-40yd TDs: 30 points + yardage
    41-60yd TDs: 45 points + yarage
    61-80 yd TDs: 60 points + yardage
    81+ yd TDs: 75 points + yardage

My thinking is to go with Eli. He generally plays well against the Cowboys. Also, KCs safeties have been playing spectacular lately – not to mention KC at home is deadly. I just don’t see Carr being able to move the ball with ease like he has been able to the entire season. Lastly, I LOVE playing ego-maniacs like OBJ (who I also have in this league) when the game is on national TV. They usually go off, from what I have experienced (although OBJ blew it for me on MNF this year).

Anyway, please let me know your thoughts and analysis. Much appreciated!

ROSTER WATCH IS THE GREATEST SERVICE EVER INTRODUCED TO MANKIND!!! $4/month for pro!? Literally the best investment I’ve ever made. I will easily make $5k plus this year because of you guys, so thank you!

P.S. One thing I wish you guys did was rankings vs Cornerbacks on a week-to-week basis. That is arguably the most valuable tool available for WR matchups, in my opinion.

    1. i don’t love either of them this week, but I suppose i’d lean eli. it’s a short week for carr who had a ho-hum game against the chiefs earlier this season. glad we’re padding the wallet a bit friend! we’ll take this into consideration in the off season, thanks.
