Week 16 RosterWatch Waiver Wire: RBs
Byron Lambert, Rosterwatch.com
We take this time to thank all of our subscribers for an exciting 2013 Fantasy Football season!
Hopefully, you have found our weekly waiver reports to be a fruitful tool in your fantasy success. We know that many members of the RosterWatch Community have advanced to their Fantasy Championships, and we congratulate you all.
If you’re like us, though- nothing matters but the title. That’s why we bring you one of the richest running back waiver wire reports of the whole season. Several good options here, most of which should be available in the vast majority of leagues. Best of luck to you all!
Jordan Todman, RB Jacksonville Jaguars
We told you we liked him last week, if MJD was out against a tough Bills front seven that has been trending much easier. 15 points later, any of our readers who listened, felt amazing. This week, if MJD is out we don’t just like Todman- we LOVE him in a dream matchup at home against Tennessee.
Dennis Johnson, RB Houston Texans
With Ben Tate done for the season- you have to like Dennis Johnson at home against a very mediocre Broncos run defense. This strong play, that is also safe. He’s in line for a ton of work.
Marcel Reece, RB Oakland Raiders
One of our favorite players in the league, Reece is powerfully built joker out of the backfield who poses a dual threat as a runner and receiver. Like a really big version, of Danny Woodhead. Speaking of Woodhead, the Raiders get the Chargers this week who, on the season, are a mess against runners, receivers, and tight ends. All of which bodes well for Reece. We’d take the over on double-digit fantasy points this week- and not feel too worried about it.
Daniel Thomas, RB Miami Dolphins
He’s average 12.35 points over the last two games. He gets the same matchup this week, that we liked for Jordan Todman last week. It’s not a special play, but it’s a serviceable one with double-digit upside.
Knile Davis, RB Kansas City Chiefs
A RosterWatch Waiver Wire and Garbage Grab guy in Week 15. He’s on a bit of a roll. The kid is powerful and explosive. Indy comes to town this week, with a very modest run defense. If you have a hunch the Chiefs are going to run-away with this game, then Knile is a great bet for a lot of garbage time action. While, Santa Claus starts resting his best offensive player for a playoff run.
Bilal Powell, RB New York Jets
An unspectacular play, but very likely a serviceable one. He’s been a five point guy lately. This week the Jets get the Browns at home, in a game that should be competitive and provide Powell plenty of opportunities. Cleveland is a pedestrian run defense. Chalk up 5-12 points in standard leagues.
Mike Tolbert, RB Carolina Panthers
The perfect “he could score a touchdown” play. His stock is actually up with Jonathan Stewart back on the sidelines. Any game, he’s received at least eight touches in this year- he’s put up a serviceable fantasy effort. The matchup is tough against New Orleans this week- but we believe Tolbert is a lock for 8+ touches.
Donald Brown. RB Indianapolis Colts
The final desperation offering of the year. You should not count on much- because it’s been such an up and down season. The Chiefs this week are a matchup for fantasy runners that have been trending much easier, though. Brown is set to get his normal time-share, and we know he has the biggest play ability in the Colts backfield. Most likely, he’ll only get you 3-5 points, but we’ve seen double-digits multiple times this year- along with 20 point upside.

Merry Christmas Byron! Standard- pick 2- Stacy, Moreno and L. Bell. PPR-Pick 1- DaRick Rogers or Pitta?
Very tough call – you just cannot afford a Knowhson Moreno swindle. Even though, I like this game for him- you can’t risk it. Stacy and Bell are guarantees for huge action.
Pitta – easy answer on the other. Good luck
Thanks Byron….you guys need more airtime on XM radio!
