Week 3 Garbage Grab

Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 3

Come fill your crusty containers with this overflow of fantasy filth just in time to wreak havoc on your opponents. Here’s the Grab for Week 3….

Wide Receivers
Elijah Moore, Jets – 29%: Moore went from 4 targets in Week 1 to 8 targets in Week 2, and he’ll continue to be more of a fixture of the Jets offense as he learns the pro game. There are few players with his upside still available on waivers, so even if you don’t play Moore this week, he should maintain a place on your bench.

KJ Osborn, Vikings – 27%: Osborn leads the Vikings in receiving through 2 weeks, and that’s not a stat you can afford to ignore when his fellow WRs are Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen. Teams are focusing their efforts on Minnesota’s dynamic duo, leaving Osborn to rack up targets underneath, where Kirk Cousins is happy to deliver. He’s got considerable upside this week against a lackluster Seattle secondary.

Quintez Cephus, Lions – 24%: Cephus has scored in Week 1 and 2 this season, along with garnering 6.5 targets per game, making him the Lions’ no.1 WR in action. TJ Hockenson is Detroit’s top pass-catcher, but Cephus can offer some flex value in PPR formats this week as the Lions go up against a Ravens team that is weak against the pass thus far.

Jalen Reagor, Eagles – 24%: Reagor scored in Week 1 and would’ve scored in Week 2 had he not stepped out of bounds against the 49ers. He’s facing a Dallas team this week that has already allowed 5 receiving TDs this season and is porous in general, so Regor should have plenty of chances to go big this week.

Running Backs
Ty Johnson, Jets – 9%: Johnson “led” the Jets backfield in Week 2, though Michael Carter was technically the more productive back. Johnson still looks like the goal line back for the Jets, which only matters if they actually get into scoring position though. He’s a low floor play, but pickings are slim at RB this week, and Tevin Coleman has also been ruled out for this week’s game.

Peyton Barber, Raiders – 6%: With Josh Jacobs set to sit again this week versus the Dolphins, Berber will get another shot at “lead” back for the Raiders. Kenyan Drake will be heavily involved as well, but the Raiders offense has been moving the ball with relative ease, so Barber should get double-digit touches and a few cracks at the end-zone.

Tight Ends
Evan Engram, Giants – 37%: Engram is still questionable, but if he goes he’ll have a cushy matchup with the Falcons, who’ve already allowed 3 TDs to TEs this season. In a season where TEs are underperforming across the board so far, Engram would make for a welcome streamer.

Maxx Williams, Cardinals – 2%: Williams is coming off of a 7 target, 7 catch, 94 yard Week 2, and though I’m wary to chase one big game, he’s a part of the hottest offense in football, and I want every piece of the Cardinals I can get. It doesn’t hurt that they play Jacksonville this week.

Quarterbacks
Jared Goff, Lions – 16%: Goff has put up almost 35 and 22 fantasy points over the first two weeks of the season with his ragtag crew of pass-catchers, averaging over 40 pass attempts in that time just to stay in games . It hasn’t been pretty, but it’s working for fantasy and should continue this week against a Ravens team that is bending for the pass.

      1. It’s a gray area for sure, but I think Murray stands the best chance to score

  6. Post By The Frugal Degenerate

Trey Sermon, Ty’son Williams, or Rondale Moore in a PPR with high performing bonuses similar to DK?

    1. I’d probably go Ty’son

  7. I almost feel like I have too many good options here. I haven’t been able to nail anything down.

Assuming Cook is out I can go Mattison/Pollard
At wr I have DHop but also Mike Williams, Sutton, J Chase…

I’m leaning Mattison, DHop (assuming he plays), and ….?

    1. Mattison

  9. PPR LEAGUE: Need 1 TE, Engram or Jonnu?

    1. don’t love either option but why not roll the dice on Engram

      1. Thanks Alex

  10. good Sunday morning — deciding between – gibson, j jones and d smith — I’m starting Hurts so leaning towards the stack with Smith — what do you think?

also, i am on CBS and noticed a substantial difference in matchup – Hurts – OVP – 9th best and RW 21 – For Lamb CBS has terrible match up for Dal WRs 30 while RW 16

where do these stats on matchups come from.?

    thanks

    1. lol, the matchup tool is proprietary and I wouldn’t have time to explain it to you even if it were allowed. It’s definitely more encompassing than what you’ll find as “Fantasy Points Allowed” ratings.

  11. Good morning rw,

Ppr, for flex who I should play Hollywood Brown or Quintez Cephus? My other 2 options are Sony Michel and J. Chase
