RWi Week 6 Matchup Tool
RosterWatch Week 6 Matchup Tool
Alex Dunlap, Rosterwatch.com
This is a weekly tool provided by RosterWatch, designed to be a decision-making tie-breaker for gauging the defensive opponents your fantasy players face.
It should optimally be used in conjunction with the snap count reference tool.
The rankings are derived via a proprietary algorithm which takes into account not only standard “fantasy points against” metrics, but also weighted averages of separate individual player scouting grades for members of the unit that will be defending against the position in question.
To use the tool, think about your fantasy player.
Let’s say you own Steelers TE Heath Miller, and would like to see how he matches up against the defense he faces this week.
First look at the Steelers’ matchup. See who the Steelers are playing, and see what the number is inside the “vs. TEs” cell for the their opponent this week.
As you will see, the Steelers are playing the Tennessee Titans who have a big, blue No. 1 in their “vs. TEs” cell. This is great news for Miller owners.
Repeat the same process for other players on your roster as you are trying to decide which players to start and which to sit.
“1″ is the best matchup, “32″ is the worst.

What defense would you guys pick up by matchup? I have the Texans D, but I think Rodgers might throw over them b/c of the lack of Cushing and how they let the Jets throw on them.
I would stick with the Texans unless somehow the Steelers or Cardinals are available.
Where is the #1 vs WR?
The team that is #1 against opposing WRs is the Saints who are on bye this week.
Thank you. It’s fun being your sister and reading these so I sound smart every Sunday/Monday 😉 sneaky trick
Is William Powell be a good pick up?
It depends on who else is available, but I cover the situation in depth here: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1365326-fantasy-football-week-6-rankings-position-by-position-breakdown/page/3
It is a great matchup, and someone could be set to benefit.
Excellent article, thank you
What do you think about this week’s QBs? I’m trying to decide between Eli Manning or Alex Smith.
