Week 8 Garbage Grab
Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 8
We’re about halfway through the fantasy season, and extensive injuries have us still sifting through the trash. These are some of my favorite dumpster diamonds for Week 8…
Running Back
Brandon Bolden, Patriots
Bolden had 6 catches for 79 yards and a TD last week as the James White role for the Pats. As much as they try to put other players in the backfield, Brandon somehow tends to keep coming back for more. He’ll get some open lanes against a Chargers team that covers the pass much better than they do the run.
Boston Scott, Eagles
Miles Sanders is out, leaving Scott, Kenneth Gainwell and perhaps even Jordan Howard to man the backfield. I give Howard at least a week to get up to speed, so it’ll probably just be Scott and Gainwell this week against a pitiful Detroit front. Expect double-digit touches for Scott.
Phillip Lindsay, Texans
Mark Ingram is in New Orleans, so Lindsay and David Johnson are the Texans backfield. Both are crapshoots, but both of them are going to be necessary to give Houston a real chance against the Rams.
Wide Receiver
KJ Osborn, Vikings
Osborn is coming off a 7 target, 78 target, 1 TD game in Week 6 before the bye. With premier corner Trevon Diggs set to devote much of his attention to Justin Jefferson, expect Kirk Cousins to go to his other options early and often this Week.
Zach Pascal, Colts
Pascal led the Colts in targets(6) last week, though it didn’t amount to much. Ty Hilton is on the wrong side of questionable, so Pascal could see a significant target share against a Titans team that has shut down Jonathan Taylor in recent games but is allowing the most fantasy points to WRs in the league.
Jamal Agnew, Jaguars
Agnew is a sneaky PPR option, catching 11 passes over the last 2 weeks. He’s being used as a speedy underneath option and could have some real juice coming out of the bye.
Tight End
Tommy Sweeney, Bills
Dawson Knox is no.3 TE on the season, but he’s out this week. His replacement is Sweeney, who could do a decent impersonation of his productive counterpart against a flagging Miami defense.
Pat Freiermuth, Steelers
Eric Ebron is out, making Freiermuth the primary TE option for Pittsburgh after his season high 7 catches for 58 yards in Week 6 before the bye.
Quarterback
Teddy Bridgewater, Broncos
Teddy B has been on for fantasy in the last 3 games, throwing 7 TDs in that span. He’ll face a Washington team this week that’s the no.1 matchup for opposing QBs in the same week he gets Jerry Jeudy back. Let him roll.

Noo garbage here! Standard league…need 2 WR 2 RB and a flex. Who do you put in the game coach! Kamara, Mixon, Chuba, Kupp, Godwin, Diontae Johnson
kupp, godwin, kamara, mixon, chuba
Thank Trashman! Listening to you guys now as I head down to the Browns game with my Dawgs!
Alex, Byron or Trashman-
Reposting here just in case:
12 Team .5 PPR (3-4)
[1] QB: Herbert
[2] RB: N. Harris, Chubb (Gainwell, Mack, B. Scott)
[2] WR: Diggs, McLaurin (AB, Ruggs)
[1] TE: Uzomah
[2] W/R/T: Higgins, E. Mitchell
[2] IR: M. Sanders, Wilson
Bench total: (6)
I know you guys loved the fact I just traded away Thielen for Chubb but now another team that’s 2-5 offered Swift + Pitts for my N. Harris + Mitchell + Higgins which I won’t do but what’s a good counter offer?
Other team (2-5):
[1] QB: Darnold
[2] RB: A. Jones, Swift (Dillon, Michel, D’Ernest Johnson, Hasty)
[2] WR: Lamb, Shenault (Van Jefferson)
[1] TE: Pitts (Friermuth)
[2] W/R/T: Gibson, H. Henry
Bench total: (6)
Swift for Mitchell and Gainwell. just my 2 cents.
I like this too – or for Mitchell and Higgins
see if he’ll do it for Mitchell Higgins Gainwell or something similar. we can’t prescribe exact trades, you are going to have to poke around a little.
I think you’d probably have to give up Higgins and Mitchell for Pitts – and just keep Najee and Swift out of the deal. It leaves you a little thin at Flex esp this wk (although I like Gainwell- you might be able to flex him and Scott together this week as a patchwork play for one wk) Once you get AB and Ruggs and maybe Sanders back you’ll be in a little better spot with your flex (probably good enough esp if you keep working waivers). It’s a gamble and Uzomah has been good- but I think it’s an interesting and aggressive move for you to make at 3-4 w/ Pitt’s bye in the rear view mirror- this clearly has the potential to upgrade your starting lineup the rest of the way- it’s a little tricky this wk or through byes until AB is healthy
Full point ppr need 2 flex between
James Robinson
Damian Harris
Tyler Lockett
Devonta Smith
Devontae Booker
Harris, Robinson
1/2 Pt PPR If Dak sits would you start Higgins and bench Lamb.
League two Dak sits who would start instead of Lamb — Damien Harris, D Smith or Gibson.
Thanks !
I’d stick with Lamb over Higgins, I’d play Harris over Lamb in the other league if we know Dak isn’t playing
Trevor Lawrence or bridgewater ?
I’d take my chances with Teddy
I feel like Lamb will still be viable out of the slot as a safety blanket. I would start Harris over Lamb
Need two Gibson , Herbert or Darrel Williams
Very tough but I’m not benching Gibson and I think the other play is Williams
Ouch the question I’ve been asking since Friday got skipped? Are you guys going back to the the questions asks from posts earlier in the week?
We answered above
Tyler Boyd or TY Hilton
I’d roll the dice with Hilton I think
Morning all…..need 2 of these 3 receivers…Pittman, AJ Brown , and Diontae Johnson??…
I can’t bench AJB or Diontae, although I do really like Pittman’s spot this week.
Should I sit Tee Higgins and play Kadarius Toni? I would be able to start Slayton if Toni doesn’t play.
Thank you
I think that’s a fine plan to hold out for Kadarius.
.5PPR Gibson or Gainwell?
They are back to back on Trashmans Flex rankings but that may be for Full PPR not sure. Thank you
I’d go w/ Gainwell
Ahead of tonight’s action I have the opportunity to acquire either Kenny Golladay, Darius Slayton, or Rashad Bateman in a .5 ppr… which dude shall I stash?
