Wisconsin FB Bradie Ewing May Turn Some Heads at Senior Bowl

One thing the NFL draft has taught scouts and teams in the last few years is that if you are targeting a fullback, other teams are too. One scout told me this week “If you want to draft a fullback, you usually have to pick him a round earlier than you want to or he won’t be there.”
Wisconsin FB Bradie Ewing made waves this week on Leslie Frazier’s North team, showing versatility and athleticism to compliment his bruising blocking ability. The North Squad uses him in a role very similar to the way the Vikings use Toby Gerhart. He lines up in a number of positions and is consistently getting involved in the passing game. I watched him closely in both team and indivdual drills this week and I believe He is faster than his listed 4.7. I would wager that his official 40 time will be in the low 4.6’s at the very highest. He also only dropped two balls that were thrown his way all week (in all drills), and he was thrown to consistently. He has great hands and does not give the safeties and linebackers an easy time in coverage like most fullbacks.
