Garbage Grab: Week 4
Garbage Grab: Week 4
Dorian “The Trashman” Colbert, Rosterwatch.com
With the start of bye weeks at our doorstep, it’s time to plug and play. This week’s Grab isn’t as filthy as I would have liked it to be, but it will be effective nonetheless.
Terrance Williams, WR Dallas Cowboys: Williams is the beneficiary of a Miles Austin absence that may last longer than just the week. He’ll be behind Dez Bryant and Jason Witten on the totem pole, but that will leave plenty of targets against a Chargers team that is worst in the league in pass defense.
Aaron Dobson, WR New England Patriots: Leading the Patriots in targets (10) last week, Dobson is little by little staking his claim as Tom Brady’s deep threat. Pitted against the Falcons in week 4, New England will have to go to the air to stay competitive. I like Dobson to take a big step on Sunday night.
Danny Woodhead, RB San Diego Chargers: I was high on Woodhead coming into the season, but the lack of touchdowns has stifled his upward trajectory. Woodhead led the Chargers in targets on Sunday, and I expect him to do it again versus the Cowboys, but this time I expect him to surpass 86 total yards.
Delanie Walker, TE Tennessee Titans: Walker was second to only Nate Washington in looks against the Chargers, and should get his share on Sunday in a contest with a Jets team that is particularly tough against the run. I always liked him in San Francisco, and I think he’s going to be of value in Week 4 and beyond.
Brandon Gibson, WR Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins are playing the Saints on Monday, and QB Ryan Tannehill will have to go to Gibson, his safety blanket, early and often to stay in the game. Gibson doesn’t stretch the field, but he moves the chains, and that means a lot on a team that has trouble moving the ball on the ground.
Indianapolis Colts Defense: They’re playing the Blaine Gabbert-led Jags. What more do I need to say?
Andre Ellington RB, Arizona Cardinals: Buccaneers DB Darrelle Revis will shadow Larry Fitzgerald most of the game on Sunday, leaving Carson Palmer to find other means of moving the ball. The Bucs also have a pretty stout run defense, so the Cardinals will still have to resort to passing more often than not. Ellington is an impressive pass catcher and explosive in space, so he could be just the spark plug Arizona needs to get things going.
Brian Hoyer, QB Cleveland Browns: Hoyer would have had a fantastic game against Minnesota if not for his 3 interceptions. With the duo of Jordan Cameron and Josh Gordon at his disposal he has a good matchup against a Bengals secondary who’s bark is much worse than their bite and will be missing three of their key DBs in Leon Hall, Dre Kirkpatrick and Reggie Nelson. The Bengals are actually trailing Buffalo and Indianapolis in defensive fantasy points on the season and both Gordon and Cameron have a chance to go bananas.
