INSTRUCTIONS:

To use the tool, think about your fantasy player.

Let’s say you own Vikings WR Stefon Diggs, and would like to see how he matches up against the defense he faces this week.

First, look at the Vikings’ matchup for the week, and see what the number is inside the “vs. WRs” cell for the Vikings’ OPPONENT.

(Diggs is a WR, and you would like to know his opponent’s rank vs. that position.)

As you will see, the Vikings are playing the Chiefs, who have a big, blue ‘No. 1’ in their “vs. WRs” cell. This is a great indicator for Diggs owners or owners of Mike Wallace, Charles Johnson or other Vikings wideouts if they are active in Week 6.

Repeat the same process for other players on your roster as you are trying to decide which players to start and which to sit.

“1″ is the best matchup, “32″ is the worst.

BLUE: Best Matchups
LIGHT BLUE: Borderline Top Matchups
LIGHT RED: Borderline Bottom Matchups
RED: Worst Matchups

The rankings represented here are derived via a proprietary algorithm which takes into account not only standard “fantasy points against” metrics from 2015, but also weighted averages and medians of separate individual player and defensive unit scouting grades for members of the 2015 unit that will be defending, pass-rushing, or covering against the position in question.

      andrews looks like the most likely titan rb to get goal line carries. i think you should consider picking up ahmad bradshaw or buck allen for this week. maybe eve denard robinson if yeldon misses

    Thinking of benching Julio – due to him being on “pitch count” .. but i am also worried about odell’s hammy.

    Still undefeated despite losing Charles this past week but I’m facing the other 5-0 team this week and I’m projected to lose! I just dropped Agholor for Bradshaw after hearing his signing news but now I’m wondering if I have too many RBs? My plan was to drop Agholor for Diggs later in the week once I got confirmation that Agholor was out …

    Should I dump a RB for Diggs? Also I know it’s early but should I make any changes to my starting lineup?

      Hi renourka,

      5-0- that’s spectacular. Your WR are solid but could use some depth, we would love for you to own Diggs. However, in a PPR where you’ve already lost Charles- we think Bradshaw is a solid add.

      Would prob be looking at dumping Andrews or JStew- would prob lean Andrews there. Close close call, here Andrews is an interesting keep- but prob not a huge threat in PPR.

    Very disappointed w/ the way OAK using L. Murray.

    Thinking of 2 plays to make squad better…
    1. Add RB3 by trading Dalton straight up for Ivory?
    2. Improve WR3 by trading Murray for Cooper, then package Cooper & Landry for AJ Green.

    Thoughts? All input welcome. Sorry for lengthy post.

      We would do both of those trades. Replace Murray with Ivory- no need for 2 QBs and upgrade your WR3 to someone elite- Cooper or Green will do.

    I can start 4 total, I currently have Marshall, Hopkins, Cobb, Hurns. Experts seem to have Calvin higher than I feel he is playing currently, Snead is coming on real hot recently, and Matthews seems to be mostly upside potential.

    Do you agree with those 4, or would you go a different route?

    Looking for some TE advice – For this week and potentially the Season who do you like?

    Julius Thomas, Kyle Rudolph, Cameron, Rodgers, Gillmore, VD, Tamme?

    Jenkins is available too but I know he’s injured and on bye.

    I’ve been having to stream all year. Do you think Thomas holds season long value?

      We like Julius as flyer as a possible season long solution for TE streaming owners., would like to see more before playing him but he got a few high value targets last week- and has a good matchup on paper this week. Tamme interesting this week with #1 overall matchup for TEs. Cameron a guy to keep an eye on as things are shaken up in MIA. Rudolph, a guy you could play this week and also consider a possible low-end season long solution.

    RB’s: Martin, Hyde, TJ Yeldon, Tevin Coleman, Antonio Andrews. – Would you suggest dropping any of these guys and taking a chance on Bradshaw. I have good waiver priority right now and wondering if I should throw it away on Bradshaw. 14 man standard league.       You could drop Andrews or Coleman for Bradshaw- but we wouldn’t use a good waiver priority on it.

    Jeremy Hill or J. Forsett for the rest of the year?

    I’ve been offered Forsett & Romo for Hill & Roethlisberger. Do you think Forsett is an upgrade at RB, I was going to counter asking for Kelcie for D. Walker.

    So it would be Forsett, Kelcie & Romo for Hill, Walker & Roethlisberger.

    I also have Palmer as my other QB and he has Eifert as his other TE.

      Romo is worthless right now. You really don’t need to be dealing in backup QBs. Yes, if you do that he should have to upgrade you at TE, or legitimately at another of your starting positions.

    I would need to drop: Smitty Sr., Crabtree, Ryan Mathews or K. Williams.

    I like Karlos, but he’s been in the protocol for a scary long time.

      Would like to see the rest of your WR on your roster- without that we’d prob drop Crab or Mathews- Karlos is a decent hold with upside- it’s close between him an RM- we like Karlos a bit more ROS. Depends on if you need RB or WR depth more. Crab is a decent depth player in a deep PPR league- but droppable if you never use him

    Asked a similar add/drop question the other day but none of my waiver claims were successful and there’s been quite a few player drops since then I’m wondering who I should be dropping now for one or some of these guys: Morris, J-Stew, Crowell, McFadden, and Matt Jones

    I did manage to pickup Bradshaw already but I need to decide who I will start this week and IF I’m going to drop Spiller tonight before the game or else he’ll be locked on my team regardless of whether I start him or not. As you can see, I can start 2 RBs, 3 WRs and a FLEX but my issue is possibly having to start Spiller AND Ingram tonight?! Ah help RW! What should I do?

      Well I ended up dropping Spiller for Andrews (who I forgot to list but was a FA and he’s also is ranked highest in your rankings). The rest of the RBs I listed above all still have to clear waivers but it looks like Crowell should be my waiver wire target now and I should drop Andrews for him or Karlos Williams for him? I’d then have Ellington as my RB2 and Crowell or someone else in the FLEX?

      Crowell and Jones could be owned. Crowell 1st. Players you can drop include- Spiller, Aiken, Bradshaw if necessary

    Just see Forsett DNP again today. How worried should I be. He is currently in both of my starting lineups. I don’t have Buck Allen but he is available in both leagues. Any thoughts on a drop/add to get him? In my 1 pt PPR my rb’s are Forsett, Duke, spiller, gore, Vereen and L Murray and Wr’s Julio, Landry, VJax and diggs
    In my 1/2 pt my rb’s areForsett, JHill, Gordon, Vereen, a Andrews and Wr’s are J Matthews, Tate, Hankerson and Diggs.
    I’m worried about a game time decision with a 4:25 start. I guess I could keep Vereen on the bench with MNF and plug him in. Thanks

    Trying to evaluate a trade offer – Give Lat. Murray and Julius Thomas for Gates and Sproles. (My gut says no, keep murray and stream TE and/or see what Thomas turns into).

      We agree with your gut – sproles is worthless

      Not sure he’ll take it – but why don’t you offer something like David Johnson, Julius, and Davante for Eifert or Gates- whoever the other owner values least

        I put it out there, we have such a small bench that I’m not sure he’ll be able to make the room.

        LaFell and Dez are in our respective IR spots (Player needs to be designated as Out, to be eligible for that spot) I would be okay with making the room and do the 3 for 1 but also okay to watch J. Thomas become Bortles buddy.

    Is it crazy to start Diggs over Hill this week in a PPR? Diggs has a great matchup and should get a lot of targets, but sitting Hill feels like it could be disastrous.

      We love Diggs- but not ready to make that move yet- maybe if Wallace or Johnson are inactive and Diggs gets the start. Hill is going to start getting his somehow someway- totally understand your concern, though. Stand pat for now and let’s see what develops between now and SUN. Also – make sure and check the Trashman’s Flex rankings on Sat.

    Do I drop Tyrod for Bortles this week with no backup qb? Or do I make a cut to keep both? My bench is only 5 and Martin copper and L Murray are in bye K Williams is hurt leaving me with Hurns. OBJ might not play and Deion Lewis might not play either so I’m kind of stuck.

      Sounds like you might have to, and so be it if you do. Hard to roster 2 QBs, Bortles a solid option if that’s the way it shakes out. Sounds like you could drop Karlos Williams- if you need to- skate through this week- drop Bortles next week and pick Karlos back up if LeSean owner doesn’t snatch him first, while keeping Tyrod
