2013 Fantasy Football NFL Contract Years Tool

Obviously, every NFL player should be playing like their career depends on their production, and more obviously, fantasy owners want players on their rosters who have something to prove. Here are the Top 60 fantasy players who are in “contract years,” meaning that every player listed here is scheduled to hit free agency in 2014, and has the 2013 season ahead to put on a show for both their current employers as well as the pro scouting departments of other teams.

Unfortunately, at the time of publication, two players who would be entering contract seasons, TE Dennis Pitta and WR Jeremy Maclin, are not included as both have suffered serious, season-ending injuries prior to what would have been one of the most critical seasons in their young NFL careers.

Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew is scheduled to hit free agency in 2014 and was included by reader request even though our belief as of now is that MJD will be franchised for his final year in Jacksonville. Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez is technically in a contract year, but 2013 is very likely to be his last season in the NFL. Ravens TE Ed Dickson has also been sidelined since publication date.
