– 2nd in College Football with 4.46 yards after contact per attempt (TreVeyond Henderson 4.56)

– Three consecutive seasons with 1,000 yards from scrimmage

– Finisher with the ball in his hands, going to fall forward for extra yards

Cons

– Struggles against blitzes

– Vision creativity is underwhelming on the inside run

– Lacks the wiggle and speed needed to become a must-draft player at the next level

– Ability to make big cuts, but his acceleration almost “re-starts” on each cut

– Lost weight for the combine and still didn’t test very explosively

Highlight/Film

Scouting Notes:

A Bowling Ball that doesn’t really play as dominant downhill as you may expect, like a Leonard Fournette of yesteryear. Playing behind the 75th-ranked run-blocking offensive line in College Football, according to PFF, Martinez averaged 4.46 yards after contact per attempt in 2024, 2nd best on the season.

In two seasons at Oregon State, Martinez finished with 2,167 yards on 355 rush attempts, good for a 6.1 yards per carry average. Not known for his receiving ability, he earned 15 receptions in those two seasons, 2 less than he finished with (17) in 2024 for the Hurricanes. His speed is middling but he has an 80th percentile speed score given his size. Martinez is teed up to be a great value in 3rd or 4th rounds of dynasty rookie drafts.
