Highlight/Film

Scouting Notes:

Jonah Coleman is a running back with a super low center of gravity and twitchy lateral moves and acceleration at the Line of scrimmage. In pass protection and play action opportunities, he isn’t the best salesman you’ll find. Fluid pass catcher that gets to 2nd gear quickly, but his short choppy steps seem to limit him there. If his 5-8 and 227 lbs frame is a true official measurement at the Senior Bowl in January, he will have one of the highest BMIs at the position.

Creates consistently through Quick twitch and wiggle, his long speed doesn’t seem to exist, but he packs a punch at the end of runs with his dense frame. This guy loves contact and attacks it like a Cane Corso in a turf war. Coleman showed ELITE ball security in college, fumbling just twice; those 2 fumbles came in the final 5 games of his career. He went over 500 carries before the untimely turnovers.

There was an intense hype for Coleman coming into his Senior Season at Washington, but the ascension of Quarterback Demond Williams and a mid-season injury neutered some of Coleman’s shine on the fantasy football community. Look for that to pick back up during his week in Mobile, as he competes with the Penn State running backs for best back in attendance.
