Cody’s Scouting Notes:

I’ll come out and say it, If Le’Veon Moss didn’t have the injury history he does at Texas A&M (2024 ACL Tear + 2025 Ankle Injury), causing him to miss significant time in 2025, he would have a near 1st round grade for me. He has great bounce from a running back of his stature (5-11, 210 lbs); his footwork is that of a tailback 20 lbs inferior. Moss’ drive at the end of carries is difference-making, sometimes helping his eyes stay up and navigate to a new hole and finish with a score.

Moss was on pace for a 1,000-yard rushing season and nearly 20 receptions during his junior season at Texas A&M before the ACL injury happened. When you talk about the total package, Moss brings it to the table, despite not being targeted 50+ times like my comparable players, Travis Etienne and Rachaad White, did in college; those guys played with more pro-style quarterbacks than Moss has the last two seasons in Marcel Reed. Le’Veon’s contact balance, ability to create through wiggle and power, while possessing a great sense of awareness/vision before he touches the football.

Alex’s Scouting Notes

  • Good vision and patience as his blocks set up both in gap and zone schemes
  • Banged up through 2025, but when he was on the field for A&M, they got the ball in his hands, 82% of the time he was on the field, he had a rushing attempt; 86% of the time he either had a rushing attempt or a target
  • Lacks top-end speed and isn’t the most elusive with an upright run-style – lacks pop engaging second-level defenders, but navigates smoothly to take advantage of what is blocked for him against SEC competition; drives his legs and falls forward through contact
  • Decisive and efficient runner with creativity, smoothness and lateral quicks winning the day for his ability to get free for breakaway runs
  • Second-team All-SEC in 2024 when he was more healthy before injury (coming off ACL in 2025 and had nagging ankle injury) – his YAC/att (4.40), breakaway run rate (39%), and PFF elusive rating (94.2%), were much better in 2024 than 2025 (3.47, 25.4, 65.8) indicating that he’s more elusive when healthy before tearing ACL
  • Might have lost a step from 2024 to 2025 returning from injury
  • One of those guys who is just good down at the goal line, loads of TDs in Aggie career
  • Comp: College Rico Dowdle with slightly less pop
