Andrew Luck Does His Best Cam Newton Impression at Combine

Stanford QB Andrew Luck has been billed as the most dynamic QB prospect the NFL has seen since John Elway. Luck’s exploits as a passer are well documented but the words “dynamic” and “John Elway” in the same sentence also imply elite athleticism.

Today, during combine drills Luck put his athleticism on full display and it definitely qualifies as elite. Luck was a top performer in several drills including the 40 yd dash, the broad jump, the 3 cone drill, and the 20 yd shuttle. He actually matched Cam Newton’s results from last year in the “explosive” drills:

40 yard dash:
Luck – 4.67 (1 unofficial time of 4.59)
Newton – 4.59

Broad Jump:
Luck – 10’4″
Newton – 10’6″

Vertical Jump:
Luck – 36″
Newton – 35″
