Brandon Jacobs is Ready to Be “Unleashed”

Like any tip-toeing Circus Bear being held in captivity reasonably would, Giants RB Brandon Jacobs has expressed a desire to be “unleashed” after missing consecutive practices on Wednesday and Thursday. As mentioned in our Daily Injury Reports, Jacobs was anxious to test his swollen knee on Thursday after taking Wednesday off, but was held back by Giants Staff.
“I feel pretty good,”
“Just waiting for the time they unleash me and let me do a little running and stuff like that. But I feel good.”
Head Coach Tom Coughlin said they were monitoring the situation , and while his status remains somewhat unclear for Sunday’s home game against the Seahawks- this sounds positive for Jacobs owners who may be depending on him during this first round of bye weeks. These players know their bodies so well that they can predict recovery periods nearly to the day with minor injuries. The Giants are being extra careful though, as they don’t need any more of an injury ward around there.
Keep an eye on our daily injury reports; but last time we heard the word “unleashed” spoken during a media portion of Thursday practice was when Titans HC Mike Munchack said prior to Week 1 that they were getting ready to “unleash” WR Kenny Britt. You know how that turned out.
If you don’t…It was good. Really good.
