Dynasty Rankings Update: 5/30/23

Travis Etienne
Age: 24
Movement: Falling
Previous Rank: 16
Updated Rank: 25
The Jags backfield is trending towards a committee, as the team wants to keep Travis Etienne fresh throughout the season. The 74% of carries Etienne saw after the departure of James Robinson last season are unlikely to be repeated this year, as the Jags added D’Ernest Johnson in free agency and Tank Bigsby through the draft. Etienne is a big play runner, so he doesn’t necessarily need a slew of touches, but this development does drop him in the rankings for now.

Javonte Williams
Age: 23
Movement: Rising
Previous Rank: 28
Updated Rank: 24
A pleasant surprise to us all in RosterWatch nation, Williams is already back in action at OTAs, although it’s in a limited capacity. Cutting and running routes in individual drills, Williams actually might start the season for the Broncos, which is something that seemed highly unlikely even a short while ago. If that ends up being the case, Williams’ fantasy value will skyrocket. Samaje Perine is a decent backup, but Williams will be an RB1 in all formats if he’s ready to go in September.

Jalin Hyatt
Age: 22
Movement: Falling
Previous Rank: 106
Updated Rank: 129
Hopes are high for Hyatt, as he was a dark horse to be one of the top WRs taken in the draft by some shrewd prognosticators. An explosive deep threat, Hyatt has the speed to burn NFL corners, but he’s a bit rough around the edges and that doesn’t bode well in a WR corps that’s chock full of veterans. With Jamison Crowder, Parris Campbell, Jeff Smith and Isaiah Hodgins all added this off season, Hyatt has an uphill battle to see the field in any consistent capacity. Wan’Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard are already fixtures in the offense, so we have to temper expectations for Hyatt.
