Fantasy Radar: Jonathan Dwyer

Steelers third-year RB Jonathan Dwyer out of Georgia Tech caught our attention last year when he flashed big against Tennessee. Now, he’s caught everyone’s attention with a nice display in the preseason. He even has his coaches excited. OC Todd Haley has praised his big play potential and recently said he “won’t hesitate to give him considerable playing time.” Mike Tomlin has also been complimentary as of late.

Pittsburgh has experienced a dearth of injuries at the running back position since Mendenhall went down last year, and Dwyer has simply looked like the most talented option. At minimum he should be a decent spot play; and best case scenario he has considerable upside as the Steelers lead back. Put him on your radar because Dwyer is definitely worth a late round draft pick.
