Just when dynasty owners of Cecil Shorts started to worry about their previously uber-dependable fantasy flex option, Wednesday they got this news:

As mentioned, Shorts owners – who had been optimistic at the thought of Justin Blackmon likely being gone to eat into production – got a cold slap of reality when the Jaguars spent two Day 2 draft picks on stud rookie WRs in Marqise Lee and Allen Robinson. This new reported interest, however, is a clear signal of dedication to Shorts, a team leader and former college QB who Caldwell likely views as a player who can help rookie QB Blake Bortles immensely as he develops. We love this bit of news for Shorts’ dynasty value, and would recommend trading for him coming into 2014 rookie drafts, where he can likely be had for the price of a late-second or early-third round rookie pick.
