Great work as always gents…some crazy good content and tools for the Nation this off-season. Because you guys led me to victory last year, I get the #12 spot in our 12 team/.5 ppr/.5 rushing 1st down league. However, we keep the same order in the second round and then the snake begins in the 3rd. So I get picks 12, 24, 25, 48, 49, etc. We can keep up to 4 players at a value of 1 round earlier than they were selected in 2016. Trade acquisitions’ draft positions are transferred, and waiver pickups start in round 10. Wondering who to keep beyond my first two:
Rd 1 – Mike Evans (over D. Freeman and Dez)
Rd 6 – Crow (over Big Ben)
Rd 9 – Stafford
Rd 10 – Kevin White
Waivers – Start in round 11 if I keep Kevin White, 10 if I release him:
– Doug Martin
– Breshad Perriman
– JJ Nelson
– Michael Floyd
– Eric Ebron
– Malcolm Mitchell
Thinking I just keep Evans, Crow and D. Martin with a 10th round pick and take a chance I can get any of the other guys (or better) at equal or lower value. Thanks for your help!
Forgot I had Duke Johnson in a waiver spot too.
Hey Fitz great to hear and thank you for your support of RW. I think you have it exactly right. Keep those three and look for better value than the guys listed. In short, Evans Crow and Doug Martin.
Hey dudes! Felt so good signing up for another year with Rosterwatch! I think I’ve been relying on your content and advice since like 2011? I love your work and I am huge a fan of your 3-Step Cheatsheet and I’ll never draft without it! Was awesome hearing you guys on SiriusXM today and was able to catch up on your last podcast thanks to Stitcher, and as much as I want to rate you 5 stars on iTunes, I don’t own any Apple devices so hopefully these kind words still help you guys gain more support! (hopefully not from my leaguemates)
Now I need some help as I was checking out my roster from last year in my big money league. This will be the 3rd year of this league and I’m really looking to take home the championship for once! I’ll admit this league has tested my patience with some bad settings like no decimal scoring and a cockamamie two-week Week 17 championship setting… but coming up short in the championship especially sucked last year!
It’s a 10 man, 2 keeper (forever) PPR league with 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX (W/R/T) and only 5 bench spots. We can keep 2 players every year but they just consume your first two round picks so essentially my drafting won’t start til Round 3 (pick 9, overall 32) then Round 4 (pick 2, 32 overall), etc …
Here’s the deal: I’ve got loads of talent right now after cultivating a monster squad last year but can only keep 2 of: OBJ, Evans, Cooper, Howard, Miller, and Gurley! Trying to predict who everyone else is going to keep is a big challenge so it’s hard to guess who might be available after people either hold certain keepers or re-pick in those 1st two rounds and by the time it’s my picks in rounds 3 and 4 … So I guess what I want to know is how hard should I be trying to package two of those aforementioned players to a teams with either David Johnson, Bell, Zeke, Brown, Julio? Or should I just keep OBJ and Evans and feel sick about it!? And hope I can get a back like one or two of Ajayi, Howard, Murray, Fournette, Lynch, Gurley, Miller, Mixon etc as my RBs 1 and 2? I know you’ve been having the Evans/OBJ debate so I figured if I maybe package OBJ + Cooper/Howard/Miller/Gurley for DJ, Bell, or Zeke then roll with one of those backs + Evans as my keepers? I just figured I should try consolidating some of that talent before just releasing them back to the pool! Or am I overthinking all of this?
Sorry for the wall of text but just trying to give you the full context! Appreciate your help!
I would keep OBJ and Evans then try to package Cooper, Howard and Gurley for Zeke or something similar. If you’re having to throw those players back, I’d try to get something in return. If having to select two tho, I just keep Evans/OBJ then target the runners as you have listed. What a monster, I don’t know how you didn’t win last season.
Holy Lord Renourka !
What a shame throwing some of them big fish back ~
Can you trade guys for picks ?
PS how’d you get an avatar next to your name ?
Hmm Lord Renourka… I like that sound of that! Ha!
Yes it’s a shame and that’s why it’s bothering me so much! Wish I could keep them all! And yes we can trade guys for picks.
