Many of you have asked about how to use the cheat sheet in auction drafts. It is actually one of the best formats for using the sheet, so we’ve created this simple set of auction instructions. Remember, this set of instructions is different from the three easy steps on the cheat sheet – and only to be used if you are participating in an auction as opposed to a traditional snake format.

1) Next to each player, in space provided, record the player’s auction price to the winning bidder.
2) With opening bid, nominate a player you are not interested in, preferably outside of the Top 10-15 range positionally as listed.
3) Take a non-aggressive approach to early bidding and allow a small market sample of winning bids to appear recorded on your cheat sheet.
4) Identify auctions where it appears players higher up on the sheet may be had for less budget than players below him went for.
5) Bid aggressively on players in these situations until the value no longer exists.

    PLEASE HELP-auction draft is tomorrow night… My team- Russel Wilson- $11 Lativius Murray- $13 Mark Ingram- $18 Julio Jones- $39 Jordan Cameron- $6 JStew- $12 And $1 Delanie Walker Total $103 8 guys total. I plan on spending 1-3 for kicker, and 3-5 for defense. That leaves 6 guys left.

    Best avail QB–Peyton, Brees, M Ryan, Stafford, T. Romo, ELI, Bradford, Brady. RB—Mccoy, Alf, Arian Foster, Ellington, Spiller, Freeman, IVory, Gio, Ryan Mathews, Randle, Mcfadden, Sankey. Wrs- D. Baldwin, S. Watkins, D. Jackson, Vjax, B. Marshall, Wheaton, Cruz, A. Robinson, Royal, charles Johnson, Steve Johnson, Janis/Montgomery, Decker.. Based on my $90 left to spend on 6 spots after Kicker and Def, who should I target? 12 team standard league, dynasty salary cap. and we have a rookie draft where i will prolly get Tevin Coleman, nelson Aghlor, Or Ameer Abdulah.

      thanks ea! i’d aim for watkins, marshall, robinson, royal, and the johnsons. verdicts still out on 3rd wr in gb. i think you’re set at rb. maybe take a cheap stab at foster or ivory. this is all subject to change if it’s a ppr.

    hahaha i didn’t see this prior to my dynasty PPR IDP innagrual auction draft this past weekend 😀 and yet the system I came up with looks exactly the same haha! go figure lol

    having the draft sheet side by side with a relative dollar values sheet (for those who are in leagues that are non-standard in terms of roster size like the 50 man roster i just drafted for, you’re gonna have to tweak your values… fantasypros.com has a great auction calculator that allows you to adjust for # of teams, players, etc.) is a surefire way to dominate your auction… just as long as you stay disciplined and commit to not overpaying…

    … except for the few bucks over your target value in the instances where you absolutely love the player and that’s what it’ll cost to roster him hehe otherwise, trusting in this draft sheet with an accurate-ish value ledger on deck will net you some really nasty lookin rosters.

    not that anyone reading this doesn’t already know it but RW really does have the best draft boards around. #WINNINGTITLES
