RosterWatch Week 2 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet Now Available
Building a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.
Whether you play in a standard waiver-claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.
All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.
*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

Is no Jesse James an oversight or just assumption he is widely owned?
With eifert as my TE, would you drop D’onta foreman for any of the TE on the list? Or just roll with Eifert for the time being?
I’d roll with Eifert. He should rebound, and Foreman is a decent stash. You know your league best- if you think you can drop Foreman, hold a good backup TE for 1-2 weeks while you get a look at Eifert, then maybe pick Foreman back up if Eifert pans out. I wouldn’t lose too much sleep over your current situation.
roll with eifert. Dont let one week get in your head.
Is Zay Jones off this list because you’re assuming he’s already drafted as per the Rosterwatch draft list advice or has he fallen out of favor with RW?
He is over 50% owned globally, thus he does not make the list. We have to draw the line somewhere. Can’t have a Waiver Wire tool full of players who aren’t widely available.
makes sense
What are your thoughts about Charles Sims (J. Rodgers is not available)? My RBs are: David Johnson, J. Howard, Chris Carson, D. Martin, Burkhead, and Char. West.
I assume David Johnson is now dropable in season long leagues.
My bench WRs are B. Marshall, and Zay Jones. I feel like I need to drop one of these WRs and pick up either Cohen, Sims, or another FA listed on your cheat sheet and keep all my other RBs and hope and pray one comes through as an RB2.
Would you drop a Zay Jones and Adrien Peterson to pull in Cooper Kupp and maybe a Tarik Cohen or Buck Allen?
Yeah, probably.
Would you rank Coby Fleener and Jesse James higher than Charles Clay?
No.
Team 1, 10 team standard league. Thanks to RW ultimate draft sheet I have a ridiculous team. RBs Zeke, Fournette, C.J, D. Martin, Charles, WRs, Julio A.J Green, Jeffery, & just lost Allen Robinson. So who should I pick up to replace Robinson? Available WRs–DJax, Maclin, Thielen, Hogan plus all of the WRs recommended on ww cheat sheet.
Team 2, Lost David Johnson. Available RBs-James White, plus all RBs on ww cheat sheet except Cohen, Buck Allen, Kerwynn Williams, Sproles
Lost DJ. Have depth at WR and weak at RBs. Should I trade Agholor for Abdullah?
WR: Allen, Cooks, Bryant, Cooper Kupp, Galloday, Willie Snead, Lee and Doctson
RB: Kerwyn Williams, Joe Mixon, Derick Henry and D’onta Foreman
Not that I overvalue the #1 waiver spot, but can I assume that Tarik, Buck, and Kerwynn all are worth of using #1 waiver spot?
While I wait on Doug Martin to get back from suspension my RBs are J Howard, Burkhead, JC, and Cohen. Could I get away with starting both Chicago running backs this week?
Going to attempt to drop Burkhead and get Allen off waivers
Should I drop Frank Gore to pickup Trik Cohen (RB from Chi)?
Why is Kearse not on the waiver wire cheat sheet? No way he is owned in 50% of leagues…
and what about Terrance Williams? The trashman talked about both of them in the weekly fallout and seemed to like both. Curious to see where both these guys fall on the cheat sheet…
I’m dropping Kevin White and looking to add a WR or RB with potential to be an asset in the 2nd half of the season thru playoffs. My strategy this year is to roster younger players vs. higher-injury risk or comeback players. I’m the 10th waiver pick in a standard 10-team league. I’m only rostering 1 each of QB/TE/DST/K to add depth to my RB/WR positions.
Current RBs/WRs:
RB MGordon/DCook/DMartin/TColeman/PPerkins/DHenry
WR MEvans/KAllen/THill/DParker/CColeman/and soon to be dropped KWhite
I’m considering TCohen, AKamara, KGolladay and think the other teams will be focusing on the Jacksonville and Arizona players. I didn’t think about Buck Allen. Who do you think is my best bet as a good add for mid-season RB/WR1-2 potential? Thanks in advance.
We love a man with his own cockamamie strategies he’s concocted. DAMN!! THAT TEAM IS SICKK!!!
Well, with Woody only expected out 4-6 weeks that might tap the breaks a bit on Allen for your purposes. We also like Allen most in PPR- not sure what your format is.
If you can get Cohen at 10 , that’s a steal. I’d be happy with many other players there- you have a well balanced team. Not sure who your TE is?
If I’m going for mid season upside- Cohen, Allen, Charles, Mack / Kupp, Golladay, Richardson, Agholor- even D’Onta or Perine I’d be very happy with- given what you describe you are looking for. I really like those two as stashes w/ massive upside.
Thanks for the information. A lot to consider tonight. I’m feeling good about the rest of my team:
TE Kelce
QB Carr (QB run in my league so waited for a later round)
DST Rams (intend to stream but tempting to use them for awhile)
K who cares; plan on streaming
Yeah, this female likes to analyze so taking your “cockamamie strategies” as a thumbs up.
KEEP Rams defense!!!!!!!! Play them every week until they put 2-3 duds up in a row- or are playing soembody like the Packers on the road.
Also sorry about mislabeling you- my bad- was burning through questions last nigh.
You are a First Lady of RWNation!!!!!!
Thank you!
Is Andy Dalton droppable? For Sam Bradford.
Meh, those are all streamers. Thanks so much for being a great member of #RWNation!
-B
Keep the maniacal content coming. When I make it back to Austin a round of Shiners on me for the Roster Watch gurus.
Shiner goes very well w/ BBQ
Is the waiver wire geared towards the next week (streamer) or the rest of the season? I’m trying to build out my WR depth for the season is why I’m asking.
To be clear I’m not in terrible shape now but want depth. Should I trade James White or Derrick Henry for Lee?
Oh, 12 team standard
I would ship White for Lee in a NY Minute!!!! Thanks so. much for your support!
It factors in all of it.
Would you drop Zay for Kupp?
It’s close- but yeah.I most likely would. Why wait on Zay? We know Kupp is a stud and he’s Goffs boy in at least a competent offense under McVay. Best wishes. Cooper Kupp is a golden and cherished son of #RWNation. Thanks so much for your support- we couldn’t do this without you guys!
-B
Who should I drop to pick up Kerwynn Williams – Theo Riddick, Tevin Coleman or Joe Mixon. I also was the unforturnate owner of David Johnson, but Im guessing I should hold on to him if I have room right?
Thanks!
Yeah, think you have to hold for a bit. I’d drop Riddick. Best wishes, and thanks a ton for your loyal support! You are a valued member of #RWN
I used the PPR cheat sheet for my draft so I have an absolute banger of a team, but just wondering if I should consider dropping any of my guys for some of the tops on the WWCS?
QB- Big ben
RB- gurley, mccaferey, cook, hunt, bilal
WR- evans, diggs, bryant, watkins, kupp
TE- henry
Mostly just wanted to show off, but could bilal, watkins, henry be a possibility or just keep what I got? The only one from the WWCS owned already in my league is corey davis.
LOl- nice brother! You could consider letting powell go just because the Jets blow. Honestly, what I think you should do – is trade Sammy Watkins + Bilal Powell to somebody for 1 better player. Then you clear a roster spot to make some pickups. We’re always looking to consolidate and free up roster spots. The waiver wire is gold.
Thanks RW for helping me start out 1-0 in five of my leagues this week! Of course I lost my only match-up in my biggest money league this week but not having either of keepers (Evans and OBJ) was a big part of that …
10 Team PPR (2 Keeper)
0-1
[1] QB: Wilson
[2] RB: Lynch, Anderson (Mixon, D. Martin, D. Henry, J. Hill)
[3] WR: Evans, OBJ, K. Allen
[1] TE: Bennett
[1] W/R/T: M. Bryant
[IR] K. White
Bench total: (5)
With Kevin White going to IR, I’ve got the 2nd overall claim and a free roster spot so really don’t know if it’s worth using my #2 priority on ANOTHER RB like Cohen or Buck Allen per the WWCS when I’m really lacking WR depth? Best available WRs include Lee, Golladay and Richardson…
So I’m thinking I should sit tight on my waiver priority and hope that I can grab one of those WRs or by some miracle Cohen or Allen as FAs in the morning? Or should I definitely be using my #2 claim here on a RB or WR here and if so, how would you prioritize who to use it on here considering my team?
Also I was debating dropping Jeremy Hill but I feel like I need to own him since I own Mixon but correct me if I’m wrong! If he’s a drop I could also pick up one of those aforementioned players too … advice?
Oh I also forget to mention J Stewart, K. Williams and Agholor are also available!
Looking at your roster, I believe you need to be most focused on cultivating flex players off your wire. I actually think your WR are better than your RB, albeit with not as much depth.
You will have to strongly consider Cohen, Allen, Kerwynn – if you think you can wait for waivers to clear and still get one of those WR – that would be solid too.
I never sit on waiver priority this early in the season. You are lucky to have it, and should recycle and move up the priority list over and over again until you cycle through and land at a nice waiver priority spot in Nov- then you sit on it. Right now you should be collecting good players, and keeping your opponents from getting them. I’d prob drop Hill for one of those guys as well- and pick up two of those player this week. Best wishes.
So if I’m understanding correctly what you guys said on the podcast on using the WW cheatsheet, I should recycle Perine for someone listed above him (Cohen, Allen, Williams, etc.)?
Don’t have to, they are all on the sheet as pickups. But, when the guys are all the way at the top like Cohen, Williams, Allen- you should go after them.
What value do you see Kendall Wright having in .5 PPR going forward?
Squirt Gun
So I own Howard a lot of places and feel I need to pick up Cohen with my priority waivers. In one league I have A Rob, Woodhead and Howard. Do I still go for Cohen or do I try and pickup a Robinson replacement like Lee, Kupp or Golloday?
I’m having trouble accessing the waiver wire sheet sheet. It isn’t loading. Can someone help?
Are you still encountering an issue?
It’s working for me. Leet us know and we can email it to you. Email us RosterWatch@gmail.com
Thanks! I emailed you. Weird I’m the only one having a problem. When I click on it, it just takes me to my profile page.
I have McFadden who I drafted for early RB depth. Is he droppable now?
Probably
Actually – Definitely if you don’t own Zeke
I have Jameis, Evans, OBJ, K Allen, Garcon, C Coleman, Rudolph, Hunt, D Cook, CJ Anderson, Mixon, T Coleman, and DMC. Obviously DMC is the guy to drop….with my line up, which position should I aim to improve using the WWCS?
God that’s a super dirty roster! You don’t need much. Technically if you had to split the hairs, you could prob go with another RB to balance things. I hate rostering 2 TEs, and it’s a low upside deal- but you could consider Clay or Cook if you wanted a nice backup TE.
Best wishes, and we cannot thank you enough for your loyal support!
With fear of missing out syndrome hitting me, I am sending in a claim for Cohen with dropping Foreman. I have a feeling if I need to pick him back up cause Miller starts to suck, I can get him. But hopefully by that time the hamster is off his suspension and kicking ass in my lineups anyways. Right now I have Miller and Anderson starting, with Riddick, Coleman, Martin, and Foreman on the bench. Are we feeling like Coleman kicks ass against GB this week and making it worth to not start Miller thursday night? Thanks gentlemen. Podcast kicked ass and you guys keep on rolling! #RWN
And of course I didn’t win my claim…gotta love always being nearly last on waivers. Guess that means I’m better than them or you guys are better than them. Let’s just call it both.
Thanks Tanner- You sound like you know exactly what you are doing!
I have hunter Henry. Do i snag cook or hooper? I hate carrying 2 TEs! Should I hold both or drop Taylor gabriel to make room?
Couldn’t agree more with you- yeah in your situation this early in season we would probably make that move to make sure we have a decent TE
Week 1, why you such a bitch? Lost Johnson and Woodhead. Is either worth hanging on to and riding it out?
QB Wilson
RB D. Johnson
RB Hyde
WR D. Thomas
WR Crabtree
Flex Woodhead
TE Kelce
Bench
Cohen
Breida
Thielen
Kupp
Ross
Decker
Britt
Bench went to hell at the end of the auction. Obviously starting Cohen for DJ and Thielen (or Kupp depending) for Woodhead.
Planning on picking up some trash RB based on WW sheet. Would you drop DJ and Woodhead or hang in there and drop Decker and Britt? I’m fourth in priority. What do you think of Booker? Supposed to be back week 3. Odds of CJ & Charles lasting 16 games.
Finally, how worried are you guys about Wilson and that putrid o line? Bradford etc available. They made GB D look all world.
Thanks guys.
Sam
Hang tight with RB4 T coleman (rb2 = j howard) or take a run at Tarik C?
Thx for pitching in SpinMan
12 team .5 ppr
I have need to p/u RB, going to try for Cohen and Allen. I have Ajayi, Fournette, Anderson and Hill, would you still bid about 15 to 20% for them. Looks like you prefer Cohen.
Yes we would- we might bid a bit on the low side and put claims in for both. U know your league best- bid the lowest you think you can to still have a solid shot at getting 1/2.
Best wishes, and thanks a ton for your support!
My team
QB – Cousins
RB – Ajayi, Fournette, C.J. Anderson, Hill, McFadden
WR – M. Thomas, Crabtree, Diggs, D. Adams, K. White
TE – Ertz
DST – Rams
Plan is to drop White for either Cohen, Allen or Williams and drop McFadden for Bradford.
Thoughts?
Oh wise RW, you have created a problem! Due to your awesomeness, I just snagged two WRs off the waiver wire, and now I’m excited by them, but I’m not sure I should play them yet (according to the weekly rankings). BTW, not saying I’m not happy with the pickups, but I guess maybe I’m now *too* excited with the pickups and letting that blind me.
Which of the following three would you roster this week (I have both Zeke and Gordon manning my RB slots, standard 12 person league, I need to choose 2 WRs and 1 Flex):
Keenan Allen
DeVante Parker
Corey Coleman
Derrick Henry
Cooper Kupp
Marquis Lee
I *want* to play Allen, Parker, and Lee, but it seems like Coleman is the better play this week for the flex?
P.S. I also have Doug Martin and D’Onta Foreman as stashes, but obviously they’re not getting rostered this week.
Contain yourself Proggie. #Poise
for WR i have Dez, Michael Thomas, Keanan Allen and M Bryant. Corey Coleman is avialabler. should i drop Mart Bryant him?
* should i drop mart bryant FOR him
Yikes, prob not yet- but Coleman should be owned.
yeah, its a bummer. league only allows to roster 4 RBs and 4 WR. guess ill just wait.
For you RW vets, my first year with PRO. I signed up because I liked Alex, Byron and Trashman’s insights on Sirius, the podcasts etc. I liked the way they identified players that were above or below consensus rankings. That being said, I’m confused about the best way to use the draft and waiver wire cheat sheets. Alex says they’re not rankings but the 3 step system is to go down the list and take the best player available unless there’s a tie. How do you guys use it?
Have you not already drafted your team? If so, you dont really need the draft sheet anymore. Otherwise, for the draft sheet, I just took the highest player available, regardless of position. I had the 9th pick in a 10 team league. My first 3 picks were WRs, everyone at the draft was laughing at me. My next 6 picks were RBs, now everyone was in tears laughing so hard…..but guess what. My team outscored everyone this week, by a mile. You can see my team roster a few questions above yours. If there is a tie between 2 players on the draft sheet, choose the one that you like more, or that helps fill out your roster better.
As far as the waiver wire sheet, find a position you need help in look at the guys you want and go to the far right of the sheet and it will tell you what percentage of your budget to bid. If you don’t bid, just put in waivers for those players you want.
Thanks xraytakr, this is great post.
Kenru- WELCOME to the RosterWatch Nation!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s fair to say you use the sheets like rankings, but they aren’t because- cost, value, adp, etc are baked in. It’s a small, but key nuance for maximizing value.
That said, we made these tools so our users don’t even have to worry about any of that stuff. The tools work on their own. I think the more you use the tools, the more they will make sense to you.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Best Wishes!
-B
Thanks Byron, keep up the great work!
Are you guys going to add Kearse and Terrance Williams to the WWCS?
no- not yet
Do I pick up K Williams and play him over Mixon?
yeah, I think probably so
Is it time to drop David Johnson?
If you have to, you can. Not a mandate yet- but for those who need to – it’s fine. Those with the luxury to hold on, that’s fine too.
Thx guys. 3rd year member of RW nation!! Love you guys.
Won week 1 – thx to M. Gordon and D. Carr.
Draft Sheet helped me get a solid team in 12 person Standard: 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, Flex (WR,RB,TE).
I ended up really WR heavy and am concerned about RB depth and Lynch’s long term health.
QB: Derek Carr
WR: M. Thomas, A Jeffrey, D. Jackson, B. Marshall (A. Robinson – dropped inured)
RB: M. Gordon, M. Lynch
TE: J. Graham
Bench: C. Clay, C. Kupp, A. Hurns (picked them on waivers following your cheat sheet and podcast-thx for the cast-rated it 5 Stars!!), C Coleman, J. Charles, D Washington (handcuff for Lynch)
I feel pretty good about my starting lineup.
Someone dropped, M. Lee and S Perine. M. Mack, D. Foreman are free agents. Should I drop anyone (Hurns or Washington) and grab any of these guys as a long term play like Mack or Perine or upgrade M. Lee over Hurns.
Thanks for all you do and answering our questions when you are so busy!!!!
I answered this in the other thread……
It would be nice if there was only one thread in which we could post our questions.
2 qb league I have 4 qb’s– Trade Mccown and Demaryius Thomas for Dez? That would leave me Antonio Brown, Hopkins and Dez as my 3 starting wr’s
Would you dump Manning if you could pick up Bradford?
I have Boswell as my kicker.
Should I drop him and p/u Lutz, Tavecchio or Dawson?
I see Mack is much higher on the cheat sheet than J. Williams (GB)? Obviously, the eyeball test says Mack but Williams would be in a better offense and overall situation if given the opportunity. Which player do you think is a better stash and hope? Would you drop Williams for Mack on a team if you might need a plug in play sooner rather than later(lost D. Johnson and waiting on D. Martin).
Thanks
Hey guys great content as usual. Just one question. Where can I find the lineup generator on the site. I used it week 1 and it really helped differentiate my lineups. I don’t see a link anywhere for week 2. Am I missing something. Thanks guys
Mccafery or D. Cook at flex?
Help for 4:00 start, PLEASE…
.5 point PPR: Flex- Carlos Hyde or Cooper Kupp??
