RosterWatch Week 14 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet and Podcast Now Available

Byron BylineBuilding a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

PODCAST —- PRO MEMBERS CAN FIND THE WAIVER WIRE PODCAST HERE IN THE PRO PODCAST DOWNLOADS SECTION. It usually will be up by Tuesday afternoon. Listen to the PRO podcast as a supplement to the sheet as you’re setting waiver claims for additional insight.

Whether you play in a standard waiver-claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

    Do we like samuels, Wilson, or Jackson more than Gus? PPR

      Very very close call- check the matchups- those guys are all projections, Gus has actually been really doing it. PPR factor and possible game flow in this matchup opens the discussions a bit. Samuels is should be a pretty damn good start in ppr this wk, and a guy we are comfortable with skill / talent wise. Wilson obv a very solid speculative play too, just a few more unknowns

    Wow, you guys have Wilson super low, considering he’s the guy right now. Is that because you expect Breida back after a week, or you just aren’t that confident in Wilson?

      Combination of factors, depending on your situation he can def be pushed up a few spots higher. If you like him go for it. Question is will people actually play him for their playoff life this wk, outside of desperation situations?

    Where would you rank Samuels as a TE, standard league. I see that in your rankings he is at 30 but after the Conner news I would have to assume he is higher correct? Thanks RW!

    Winston has NO Balt Dallas (Weeks 14,15,16)
    BMayfield has Car Den Cinci
    Both bad week 15

    Available are:

    Marriotta Jax NYG WashDC – only good week 16
    Keenum SF Cleve Oak
    Should I drop one of my QB and obtain another?
    Or just play Winston this week and go from there?

      Id prob grab Jackson. Do you have any other back up defenses or TEs or bottom feeders you can drop? If you don’t have a kicker you are married to you can always drop him for now to make the pickup – then just hold the players and make the decision who to drop later in the wk when more info comes in

    Defense question!
    I have Houston (been very good for me) who plays Ind then NYJ then Phi
    Available are:
    Denver (SF then CLE then OAK) ,
    Tennessee (Ari then Buff then MN)
    and Detroit (Jax then NYG then WAS)
    all who have good strength of schedule for play offs

    I can only have 1 defense. Who should it be?

      Very close call- love denver the rest of the way and houston has been too good to drop- why can’t you have 2 defenses? You have to have somebody else you can drop for now- at least your kicker

    1st round of play offs I am playing the team I traded and gave JConnor and received JJones
    Since Connor out Should I go after JSamuels? In Yahoo, he is listed as a TE and RB so I may be able to put him in my TE spot (I own Njoku)

    Who would I drop?
    My RB core: Kamara, Mixon, MGordon, SWare, GEdwards, JAdams, GBernard Can only play 3 of these

    CThompson also available Is he worth more than what I have (also to keep away from others)?

      CT is not a priority for you -Id prob just roll the dice on dropping Gio. If Mixon goes down you have plenty of other good options

    Would you drop Dion Lewis for Jaylen Samuels? This will be week one of the playoffs. My other RBs are David Johnson, Sony Michel, Kenyan Drake and Spencer Ware.

      Good grade coming out of Oklahoma, sneaky productive in spots as a rookie + solid chemistry w/ Ljax so far + thin WW TE market.

      If andrews has a strong matchup I have no prob rolling him out in a pinch

    Thanks to your waiver sheet I won my radiology regular season (10 & 3) and had the most points.
    It’s a sharp league. No teams abandoned.
    But I lost James Connor.
    I’m down to Leonard Fournette, Doug Martin, Kerryon Johnson and waivers, #10 of 12.
    I won’t get any of the good RB’s.

    I feel like crying.
    All that work and to lose Connor in week 13. It sucks.
    It’s not as bad as unrequited love but it’s close. I’ve got that right now, too.
    Do you think one of those silicon dolls would help?

    No Question just unabashed praise for the consistent high quality product put forth by the men and women at RosterWatch.

    This is my third year as a pro subscriber. I stumbled across RW mid-season via Sirius and took a stab at a month for $3.99(?). It was the best investment I shall ever make.

    In my first season I peripherally followed and made a few moves that improved my team. Truth is that I had already screwed my team up listening to the self-proclaimed “Guru’s” of the industry.

    My second season I made the playoffs but lost in the first round. (I still had too much noise in the background)

    This season I decided to listen to no one else! Game one of the season I lost by a narrow margin and had Jordy Nelson screw me when I could have and wanted to draft Cooper Kupp. But i kept hearing Alex scream in my ear, “do not bastardize the draft cheat sheet!” I was pissed as hell at RW! But I stayed the course. With Fournette, Mixon and JGordon hurting my early weeks I fell to 2-4. I remembered Trashman speak of how he has won leagues after starting 0-4. Although doubtful, i was at least encouraged.

    This week I enter the playoffs after going 6-1 over the last 7 weeks. Because of the fine work at RW, I acquired Phillip Lyndsay, streamed Defenses like a bad-ass, picked up temporary fixes like Gus Edwards and John Brown just to name a few.

    Trashman, you were right. Whether I win these playoffs or not. For me and my fantasy game, i will continue to ONLY listen to RosterWatch!

    Kudos on a great season! Now on to the postseason!!

    Thanks to ur guidance and tactics Duppoert have clinched a playing spot. Dropped my last two games however with my TE Burton really clunking. Just picked up Vance and noticed Baltimore TE Mark Whatever is still out there. Which of those three do u go with the last three weeks? Playoffs are week 15 ‘ 16. I guess Vance, right?

      Prob Vance, check the matchup ratings- WK14 matchup tool is live. Only like Burton if Trubisky is back and still then dont love him.

      Mark andrews is a solid desperation play, check his matchup, also rankings will be updated again by tmrw. If he were to have a significantly better matchup than Vance I’d strongly consider and woudl check the recent snap counts and targets

    For weeks 15-16, should I drop Watkins for Pettis, Anthony Miller, Baldwin, Callaway, Tate or D. Thomas? I have Thielen, Gordon, and Sanders at WR.

    At TE, I lost Olsen but have Njoku. Should I ride him to a championship or try to pickup someone like Graham, Brate, Andrews or McDonald? Thanks guys!

    Hey guys, full point PPR league. Just got the news that Sanders maybe toast for the season. I lost Conner on Sunday, but I picked up Carson off waivers. I’m starting Kamara, CMC at RB with Evans, Diggs at WR and Fournette and Hilton in the flex. My only other healthy WR is Conley. Who would you pickup off waiver wire out of Lockett, Sutton, Tate, C. Samuels and Tre Smith if Sanders is done.
