RosterWatch Week 2 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet Now Available

Byron BylineBuilding a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

PODCAST —- PRO MEMBERS CAN FIND THE WAIVER WIRE PODCAST HERE IN THE PODCAST SECTION AS SOON AS IT GETS POSTED. You can also find it on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, or anywhere podcasts are found. You can also simply watch it below on YouTube. Listen to the podcast as a supplement to the sheet as you’re setting waiver claims for additional insight, the pod does not give the exact order and/or tiers of the sheet so do not consider it a substitute for using the sheet.

Whether you play in a standard waiver-claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

  1. standard scoring
QB Matt Ryan, RB Jacobs, Henry, Hunt, Ronald Jones, Lev Bell. WR Evans, Metcalf, DJ Moore, Hollywood Brown, Boyd, TE Higbee, 1K. 1 def
Okay to drop Lev Bell for Snell or Kelley? Bell will miss at least 3 weeks & the Jets stink.

    1. I am not going to drop Bell for one of those guys in my leagues, but I can’t say I would fault someone else for doing it. Maybe I’m just holding on to hope like a fool. I think with your current team (which is stacked) you can afford to hold him if you’re like me or drop him if you simply want to wipe the slate clean of him. You’re in good shape either way.

I have first waiver in one of my leagues, but I own Jonathan Taylor, should I still pick up Hines or opt for snell instead?

    1. If you need an extra back to play for the next few weeks, then pick up Snell, if you’d like some insurance on Taylor, then Hines kinds of gives that but also brings standalone value. Think Hines could be more valuable in the long run for PPR (?) and a guy you could conceivably trade away — that is, unless Conner never really heals and gets back up to speed, then Snell would be the player you’d want. It’s a tough call that depends on your needs and your league.

  3. Full PPR team – have Cohen and DeSean Jackson at the bottom of my bench. Have Conner, so I am assuming Snell is my priority, or even Hines/Brown for any upgrade?? My rb’s are Drake, Mixon, Gibson, Edmonds…

Also, where does Jackson fit in with the top of the wr list; i.e. invest in the top 3 waivers over DeSean? My other wr’s are Cooper, Hilton, Lamb, and Hollywood.

    Thanks for all your help!

    1. I’d go with Snell since you will be holding Conner, but Hines would be an excellent backup option in your case since its full PPR. I would drop Jackson in a heartbeat for Parris Campbell.

  4. Who should I drop for Paris Campbell Tyler higbee or jack Doyle

  5. Im streaming QB’s, who do we like the best this week, Rivers, Bridgewater, tyrod talor, or trushitsky?

    1. don’t know yet, haven’t made the matchup tool or even started on rankings – still in waiver mode. Tyrod will be playing the Chiefs and that’s always fun.

  6. Someone dropped Deebo Samuel. Assuming he’s the top WW pickup for me considering C. Davis is the highest available?

  7. Post By rickymurawski@gmail.com

In 2 different leagues have some questions here lol

droping Cam Akers for Hines or Malcom Brown (which ever I can get)

droping James Robinson for Hines and dropping Tevin Coleman for Goedert (have Evan Engram) or stick with Engram?

    1. If those are the moves you’ve decided on, you can do what you want, but I wouldn’t drop Akers just yet.

  8. Drop Bryan Edwards for Sammy Watkins or Shenault in a 0.5ppr?
Same league drop A.J. Dillon for Malcolm Brown? Thanks guys

    1. Might do either unfortunately RE: Edwards. Absolutley drop Dillon for Brown at this time.

  9. Is the ranking sheet just for the week or season long?

    1. the rankings tab above is just for this week. the waiver wire cheat sheet is rest of season pickups.

  10. Good Afternoon, I’m looking for your segment that showed “bad” matchups, “neutral” matchups and “poor” matchups. It also provided “fast starts”. Also I’m dropping J. Doyle/M. Pittman…1.1 ppr who would you target for them from the following….S. Sims, R. Gage, R. Anderson, P. Campbell, J. Reagor or M. Williams (LAC)…..thanks a lot!

    1. Matchup tool will be up tomorrow. If you mean the season-long SOS-tool, that comes down after week 1 as the matchups evolve and we get new inputs that go into the weekly matchup tool.

Please see the cheat sheet for the order we’d take those guys but you should target Campbell then Reagor above all others.

  11. .5 PPR

    QB—Mahomes
RB—Drake, Sanders, Fournette, Boston Scott , Edmonds, Kelley
WR— Kupp, Sutton, Lamb, Shenault, Deebo
    TE— Hooper

Injuries hit me hard week one and will be rough again if sanders and Sutton can’t play, would you try and do a Mahomes for another QB+1 swap? Eyeing a potential Dak and OBJ if it could be had…. but just worried about a 0-1 start… any advice?

    1. Or Mahomes for Rodgers and Taylor May be another option ?

  12. Post By rickymurawski@gmail.com

Are you guys doing the Top Trade Targets Podcast again this year?

    1. I believe Byron is starting that after week 3.

  13. With Leveon going on IR, does Josh Adams, Gore, or I guess Ballage get a bump? I tend to like the strategy of avoiding the Jets this year

    1. It is possible none of them have reliable value. Adams is the player I would aim for, but no floor on any other these guys.

  14. Post By anthonyjck81@aol.com

hey boys, i have a truley cursed league , connor x thomas x kittle…at this point its comical, i drafted deep so i just need help at TE this week, bigger cieling Godert or Hockinloogie?

  15. Awesome first week with this team going off for 141!

    12 team Half-PPR
    1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 FLEX, 1 TE (6 Bench)

    QB: Stafford
RB: Jacobs, Hunt (R. Jones, Montgomery, Gibson)
WR: Adams, Evans (John Brown, Ruggs)
    FLEX: Ridley
    TE: Kittle (J. Smith)

Available RB: Lat Murray, T. Coleman, Hines, Snell, Malcolm Brown, Mattison, Peterson, Barber
Available WR: Campbell, M. Williams, Shenault, Reagor, C. Davis
Available TE: Goedert, Herndon, L. Thomas

I stream DEF and K so I have two open spots and I have #1 waiver priority however my team is currently too loaded to make any drops? I can claim TWO guys but I would need to drop them (or others?) for K and D by week’s end. I only have Jonnu as Kittle insurance but it kills me carrying two TEs. I’m thinking about saving priority and just stashing the best available FA in the morning and see how the week plays out before making any other drops? Please advise.

    Thank u boys for this
I got ass fisted by injuries to BbbIiiiGggg names this weekend!!

  17. Would Preston Williams be atop the WR’s? Thank you boys!

    1. Preston Williams should be a priority add if he is available.

  18. Mike Williams, Gage, or Corey Davis rank in order of pickup?

    1. Post By Kwillee@hotmail.com

Williams, Davis, Gage….. It’s on the sheet!

  19. Just got offered Chubb/Gallup for Julio. Hurting at RB: Ingram, Swift, Kerryon, Fournette WR: Woods, Juju, Emmanual, Marvin, Dionte, Crowder…. thoughts?

    1. I could see some not liking this trade, but I think it is a good one for you. I still think Chubb is an every-week RB2 with tons of upside. Julio obviously a stud, and you are gambling. But I like the upside of the deal.

  20. 2 qb league .5 ppr league

    My Qbs
    Mahomes
    Bridgewater
    Minshew
    Donald

    My RBs
    Conner
    Eckler
    Gibson
    Akers
    Swift

    Wrs
    Davonte Parker
    Arob
    Dionte Johnson
    Slayton
    Landry

    I’m 2nd on ww
Should I pickup Trubisky or Snell or Crowder? and who would you drop?

    1. Crowder likely. the best pickup for your roster. But I like the players you own better. Save your waiver priority.

  21. Post By cbroenneke@gmail.com

Thinking about throwing a trade at the M. Thomas owner.

    Evans and Slayton….

    Full point PPR

    Other WR are
    Julio
    Chark
    Fuller
    M. Jones

    1. MT’s injury looks like it is going to be a few weeks. Then when he gets back he may need a game or 2 to get back to himself. It is a gamble I do not think you need to take.

  22. I can drop Mack and pick up
    Goddart or Snell or Maddison
    TE – Jonnu Smith
    RB – J. Taylor, J. Mixon, Z. Moss, D. Williams, M Sanders

The Cook Owner has Hines so I could try to trade him Maddison possibly.

  23. Post By Haydenb55@yahoo.com

My Skill position guys 3rd waiver spot
    Derrick Henry
    James Conner
    Davante Adams
    Kenny Golladay
    DJ Chark
    Marvin Jones
    Antonio Gibson
    JK Dobbins
    CD Lamb
    Zach Moss
    Chris Thompson
    Anthony Miller

I have waivers in for Benny Snell Or James Robinson for Chris Thompson. Would you drop marvin jones for scotty miller or Shenault?

  24. If HRuggs is Available. Should I pick him up over the Waiver WR list? PPR

    1. Ruggs certainly worth a pickup, but obviously depends on who you would have to drop.

  25. “Mith?” “Yes. Yes. He is”.

  26. Just got a trade offer:
I get Benny Snell and Deshaun Watson and give up Courtland Sutton. Thoughts?

    Start 2 RB / 3 WR and a Flex

    My team is as follows:
    Aaron Rodgers
    Zeke Elliot
    Tony Pollard
    David Johnson
    James Conner
    Devin Singletary
    Courtland Sutton
    DeVante Parker
    DK Metcalf
    Darious Slayton
    John Brown
    Jalen Reagor

    1. you don’t need another QB

  27. Post By Kwillee@hotmail.com

Mixon, Drake, David Johnson and Gibson. Would you drop Gibson for Hines or Brown in a full point ppr? Thoughts???

    1. Post By Kwillee@hotmail.com

Make that standard scoring! Was thinking of a different league…lol

  28. Should I try and trade Ridley for Barkley? My WR are metcalf, obj, e sanders, and hollywood

    1. Post By Kwillee@hotmail.com

      Hell yeah!!!

      1. Post By Baron VonIronCock

          #losing .

  29. Post By Jhintz2010@gmail.com

Hey fellas, I ended up drafting johnathan Taylor per the cheat sheet and I really need RB help. Would you still recommend picking up Nyheim Hines on the wire or going with Benny snell?

  30. RBs are hard to come by in our league. Would you drop Henderson at this point or hang on one more week? Considering Logan Thomas even though I already have hockenson (or tony pollard since he was dropped today)

    1. I know he hasn’t given anyone a reason to keep him but just not sure if injury has anything to do with how little he played

      1. Post By Baron VonIronCock

        Id drop Henderson for pollard

    2. JC:

I’m with you in that I’m skeptical of Malcom Brown as a lead back all season long. I’m holding Henderson where I can. He was dinged up in training camp, may have needed a week to get back up to speed. Cam Akers did not do anything in my eyes to take the job. Brown was fine, better than we have seen him before, but nothing special

  31. Drop Deebo for Parris ?

    1. Post By Baron VonIronCock

I’d say yes. Especially if you are in need at wr or flex
      We need to win now.

    2. Parris. He is healthy and looked fantastic!

  32. Another resource that would be helpful each week with the WWCS would be a chart of players owned my more than 50% who are worth dropping. It’d be especially helpful early in the season.

    1. Byron and Alex can speak to that more specifically, but that is going to be very league dependant and roster dependent.

For example, Boyd could be droppable in one league and not in another.

If you ever have a question like that please ask in here someone will get at you very quickly.

  33. Tyler Boyd was dropped in a 12 team PPR league. Should I claim him off waivers and drop either Ceedee Lamb or Darius Slayton?

    1. Boyd would be a great add, but I’d prefer you to hold the two you proposed to drop

  34. Darius Slayton is on waivers in my league. Would you drop Reagor to add him?

    1. Yes

  35. Should I drop Hurst for Goedert in a standard league?

    1. Close call, it’s not clear yet. I think Hurst is still a solid keep

  36. Sorry for another question but would you drop Henderson for Myles Gaskin? Or would you hold Henderson another week?

    1. Also have Akers so can’t decide if it’s better to wait and see if one pops or if I get stuck with 2 useless RBs in the same backfield

  37. Post By gpm22@myfairpoint.net

    Flex Question PPR
