Byron BylineBuilding a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

PODCAST —- YOU CAN FIND THE WAIVER WIRE PODCAST HERE IN THE PODCAST SECTION AS SOON AS IT GETS POSTED. You can also find it on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, or anywhere podcasts are found. Listen to the podcast as a supplement to the sheet as you’re setting waiver claims for additional insight, however, the pod does not give the exact order and/or tiers of the sheet so do not consider it a substitute for using the sheet.

Whether you play in a standard waiver-claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

    In a shallow bench league (10 teams, 5max for WR and RB), I’m sitting at 2nd waiver priority. Is it correct to value holding onto my waiver priority given the low positional maximums, and waiting for clear impact players (like Chubb last year, etc.)?

      The nation is always a week or two ahead of the other dopes in your league.
      That’s why the waiver sheet is so deep.

    Someone dropped Curtis Samuel for a TE and I really want him. We start 3 WR and a Flex in a PPR league. I am RB light so I start a WR in Flex, 12 team league. How much of my FAB should I spend on him??? Currently starting DHop, Woods, and Godwin. Gallup was my flex but now injured.

      Don’t think so- you own a ton of good players just haven’t really gotten premium production out of the gate. Right now you have to focus on making the right matchup plays -and very soon, if not now- you should begin trying to consolidate that depth into some better starters via trade market. Also wld be focused on improving/bolstering TE right now

    10 team league and I drafted Brees and Jackson. New update on Brees is that he’ll probably miss 6-8 weeks so that would mean a return around week 10 or 11 (bye on week 9).     Need to keep it rolling and build out this team. I picked up Ty Montgomery as a handcuff for Bell’s injury, but I think I need to drop him and get a running back because Bell seems healthy, the Jets are on a bye in week 4.

    Duke Johnson is very volatile as a pass catching running back. In addition, Deshaun Watson doesn’t seem to check down to the running back very often. Is it worth dropping him for Carlos Hyde or possibly Alexander Mattison (Dalvin Cook has always missed time and Mattison could offer potential league winning upside)?

    Brees and AJ Green got dropped. Do I prioritize AJG here? Was reported he should comeback around wk5. I’ll have him and T Hill out but I have 1 IR slot. Prioritize Brees here? My bye weeks are wk8 and 12. In one scenario I’d have Brees as my QB3 behind Mahomes and Jackson. In a 2nd scenario I’d AJG as my WR3 when he comes back. I started 2-0.

    Somebody dropped Josh Gordon in my league. Should I pick him up? My receivers are Davante, OBJ, Evans, Woods, Hollywood, and McLaurin. Is it worth it dropping McLaurin for Gordon?

      i think so, if Brown gets suspended or goes on the exempt list. we just don’t know yet. if you’re not starting McLaurin, it might be worth it.

    Hey RW Fam,
    I have a start/sit issue at the QB spot. I have Wentz starting right now; however, I have Kyler Murray on the bench and Jimmy G available as a possible add if necessary. I’m strongly considering K. Murray or Jimmy G over Wentz (due to lack of WR weaponry), but the rankings suggest Wentz is the best QB option here. I need some help and I’m crossing my fingers in regards to my avatar lol… thanks guys.
