Byron BylineBuilding a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

PODCAST —- PRO MEMBERS CAN FIND THE WAIVER WIRE PODCAST HERE IN THE PRO PODCAST DOWNLOADS SECTION. It usually will be up by Tuesday afternoon. Listen to the PRO podcast as a supplement to the sheet as you’re setting waiver claims for additional insight.

Whether you play in a standard waiver-claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

    My rb situation is pretty solid, but I’m always looking for playoff potential changers. Ito is above D’Onta, but when healthy it looks like D’Onta may be a starter, and so far it looks like Ito is playing second fiddle.

    Which has the most playoff time upside? Or will neither really move the needle?

      Ito has the quickest path to touches and is on the better offense. i’d try to add both, but ito is still on top for me.

    Somehow Clement is still out on the wire in one of my leagues (dropped right before game with report of “pitch count”). Would he be ahead of Ito?

    Are both Clement and Ito more valuable than Bilal Powell?

    I have Wentz, Winston, Keenum, Flacco, Mariota, Trubisky and other QBs on the ww. I need someone to fill in for Ben this week. Any suggestions on who to drop for a QB? Also, should I drop anyone to pickup Howard or Engram at TE to backup Olsen? 10-team, standard league.

    My team’s injuries are killing me and I need help. A 2-4 record in a 10-team standard scoring league and I’m not giving up. I have:
    QB Stafford (and Mayfield for the Lions past bye week)
    RB Fournette, Hyde, Collins, K Johnson & Clement
    WR Allen, Hilton, JuJu, Kupp & Brown
    TE Kittle
    DST Bears
    We play 2RB/2WR/1 Flex RB or WR

    No one in my league has interest in trading (insanity) so I’m really working the waiver wire hard to survive. I’m dropping Mayfield and open to dropping a WR or RB, if necessary.

    1. Do I drop Kittle for Njoku, OJ Howard or even Engram?
    2. Pick up Cohen again (dropped him again for a DST when Bears were on bye)? Or, pick back up M Goodwin?
    3. Bears D – was last week an anomaly or is it time to drop and go back to streaming?

      Close call on TE- look at the upcoming matchups, esp since you need the win. All those guys should prob be owned.

      For me, it comes down to Kittle vs NJoku

      Goodwin and Ito would be the top players on the sheet. Depends on if you need a WR or RB. Sounds like you might need a RB w/ Freeman out.

      Close call. If I was deep at RB and needed a WR, I’d do it. Only hesitation is Cam’s limitation as a passer + obv selling Howard low as possible

    I also have Kamara, GordonJr, Mixon, JConnor and CThompson in PPR
    Should I keep DForeman as a stash? Or pick up available ISmith or ACollins or PBarber or Clement or Mack. Instead?
    Or pick up GioBernard to get HC of Mixon?

      Check on Gio’s health, but in general he real should be owned by Mixon owners. Unfortunately, you can’t own all these guys. Foreman is a high upside boom – bust stash. All of those other guys should be owned in most leagues, and have more immediate value- but maybe less speculative upside. Depends on what you’re looking for- Marlon Mack might be a nice combo of the two. In most leagues those other guys are owned over Foreman

    I was offered a bold trade. Here it is:

    I trade Devante Adams for David Johnson and Dalvin Cook. Here is my current roster:
    RB’s

    Mixon
    Kamara
    Chubb
    Powell
    R Freeman

    WR’s
    D Adams
    Smith Schuster
    Boyd
    G Allison.

    I know risky to get rid of Adams, but is the reward worth it? If Johnson and Cook get right, they could bring me s high end WR. Or just reject and stand pat, working the waiver wire.

    Dynasty question. 12 Team PPR. This team was the dominant team for a while but last year I had the 3rd pick and this year I am 2-4 and not competing with the top teams anymore

    QB-Luck, Carr, Rosen
    RB-Devonta Freeman, Jordan Howard, Austin Ekeler, Derrick Henry, Wendall Smallwood, Jamal Williams, Ronald Jones

    I feel like my team is solid, but it’s not a title contender anymore, our league is super top heavy, you wouldn’t believe me if I read off the top teams roster his team is stacked. But he needs a TE and he is a Melvin Gordon owner who wants Ekeler. He offered me one of his 2 firsts, whichever is higher (Probably will be mid to mid-late first) for Ekeler and Burton.

Who are my top two or three cuts here? I’m thinking Buck and Callaway?       Go for Winston.

      Taylor prob since Chicago may have to air it out against the Pats. I don’t think you can go wrong with Gordon either for the TD upside.

      Not feeling Marvin at this time since he seems to be 3rd on the pecking order…

    It’s .5 pt ppr and QB’s get 6pts for a TD.
    My team is as follows. (Both my starting RB’s are on bye the same week so it makes sense but I’m also 6-0 and it wouldn’t ruin me to lose a game)

      i would, but i don’t love kj’s situation. bell could win your season. i don’t see kj doing that. bell has to be back by week 10 i believe, so you would have him for your playoffs, which i’m assuming you’ll make at 6-0
