Byron BylineBuilding a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

Whether you play in a standard waiver claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

      Trade question. I need some strength at wide receiver in a ten team PPR. I had a trade offer for L Fitzgerald for
      L. Miller or C Michaels. I also have D Murray as my flex. Running backs are strong for me. I currently have O B J at WR1. My WR2s are along the lines of D Parker, G Tate and J Crowder to choose from. I was thinking to go L Miller for Fitzgerald straight up.

          He also has D Hopkins, J Nelson, TY Hilton and Pryor as receivers. Should I just roll with my WR2 matchups week to week, work the waiver wire and roll with a strong core at RB.

    I’m thinking of dropping Travis Benjamin to pick up TY Montgomery. Really need a WR2 this week with Coates (Ben hurt) and Fuller vs. Denver and his snap % scares me. It’s an auction so his $9 price tag gives me the best chance to get him from guys I can drop. Should I do it?

      TY Montgomery is NOT the guy. He is a WR that people are only excited about because he may see some snaps at RB…. He can’t run the ball thru the line of scrimmage.

      Everyone likes the unproven rookie because for the time being “the sky is the limit” for Don Jackson.

      But I like Knile more. He has proven to be able to beat NFL defenders and score some titties. Plus stubborn Ted Thompson has broken his no trade clause to grab him. I think the coach and upper management like Knile. And i’m looking forward to seeing some fresh blood running the ball in GB. It is going to be exciting to see how it plays out tomorrow night.

    Looking to shake up things in a H2H 1PT PPR. I’m a McCoy owner looking to get Gillislee from a Bell owner (I have DeAngelo). They lost Reed I have Hunter Henry and Barnidge and thinking of trying to buy low on Hopkins from them also as his schedule ahead is nice (Lions, Jags,Raiders,Chargers, Packers,Colts, Jags. Their QB situation is Winston and Mariota who both have favorable matchup’s ahead (especially Winston, Saints twice in weeks 14 & 16). Should I try a three way where I give up Brady, Barnidge or Henry and DeAngelo for Hopkins, Gillislee and Mariota or Winston. Or is trading Brady just not a good idea the way he is playing and just go DeAngelo for Gillislee straight up. My other QB is Cousins and I’m weak at WR other than Julio Jones and Meredith.

      I think Gillislee for Deangelo is more simple and likely trade to be punched thru. Seems to make sense for both. However…..

      McCoy can play coy and make a ding look like a season ending injury as he did on Sunday. But if he does indeed have a “mild” hamstring injury he is going to be out this week. And less effective moving forward. Gillisee stock is skyrocketing.

    I own demarco, he owns jamaal. Been trying to get henry all season and if i send it through he’ll go for it.
    Everything you guys say on the site or on air sounds like you would go for this trade – dunlap talked about it sat night, one of you guys tweeted the weather conditions might have been bad for jamaal too,, but im still hesitating because of ware’s production. im stacked at RB zeke, demarco, howard, coleman, ivory so I dont see myself even flexing Ware IF he were to retain flex value after jamaal is in full form… thoughts?

      As you said, you are stacked at RB. Let him hold a unproductive Henry. A Murray injury won’t kill you. Ware is 4th in the NFL with 129 yards from scrimmage per game. He trails only the likes of Bell, Johnson and Elliot. I see a very good football player in Spencer Ware. Coach Reid has shown he will be involved regardless Jamal. This is an even split worst case for Ware. I would bet Jamal goes down to injury before Murray…

        Great- we love you but have to disagree here. In terms of equity-to-date, Ware is more valuable- but this trade makes sense for both parties. If I owned Ware and and Murray- I would do this deal for Henry.

        Agree- Henry’s value in the tank- so in theory he should be had for a wooden nickel- but that’s only if the DH owner is naive. If he’s smart- he understand regardless of production to date- DH is still extremely valuable to DM owners- who are secretly sweating bullets they don’t own DH.

        We would do this deal, lock up Murray – and sleep well at night. If he goes down, DH may be even better than Murray has been.

      No. RB’s are far more valuable than QBs. Stream or mix and match your QBs. Let Howard hold down your RB2 slot. Unless you know something about M. Jones longterm that I do not… (although you have 50/50 call this week between Howard and Jones based on this weeks match ups) best of luck there.

      Hell no. Gore or Meredith don’t make you better. Crowder will get some of Reed’s looks. Loosing Copper would sting. You have a great roster put together there. Hold tight. Big Ben will be back sooner than the “6” weeks projected. Marry Tata can hold it down for you in the meantime.

      We all know crazy legs Jackson has that boom, but the bust is happening too often. Wish the Redskins just threw it up to him more. For the time being I will take Meredith and his heavy targets. Plus Meredith looks actually good on the field. I don’t think he is a 2 week fluke. I think he has skill, QB confidence and game script working for him.
