RosterWatch Week 7 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet Now Available

Byron BylineBuilding a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

PODCAST —- PRO MEMBERS CAN FIND THE WAIVER WIRE PODCAST HERE IN THE PODCAST SECTION AS SOON AS IT GETS POSTED (usually around 4:00pm central on Tuesdays in-season. You can also find it on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, or anywhere podcasts are found. You can also simply watch it below on YouTube. Listen to the podcast as a supplement to the sheet as you’re setting waiver claims for additional insight, the pod does not give the exact order and/or tiers of the sheet so do not consider it a substitute for using the sheet.

Whether you play in a standard waiver-claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

  1. Do I drop E. Sanders to pick up swift. 10 team .5 ppr. Either “might” make it into the flex based on a match up, so more of a stash move. My normal flex is Gibson, or Golladay. Also have Conner, Robinson, Parker, Cook on a bye, Adams, Ridley.

    1. Post By Byron Lambert

Drop your kicker or backup TE or QB or DEF if you can to make the pick up- otherwise I think in 10 tm dropping ES is prob ok. Swift is worth a stash.

  2. What should I do with Kelley? Hasty, Green, and Gronk are all available.

    1. Post By Byron Lambert

I’d probably keep him unless you need a TE. Not ready to drop him for Green or Hasty yet

  3. Thanks RW!
    10 team 0.5 pt ppr
    QB- Cam and TB
RB- Dalvin Cook, Josh Jacobs, James Robinson, Le’Veon Bell, Devin Singletary, and Alexander Mattison
WR- Golladay, Amari Cooper, Davante Parker, and JuJu
    TE- Dalton Schultz
Drop JuJu or Mattison for Claypool, Higgins, or D. Swift? Drop Schultz for Gronk or Hurst?

    1. Post By Byron Lambert

I’d probably drop Schultz for Gronk and JuJu for Swift or Claypool-

  4. .5 PPR

Sanders owner, Would you burn #3 waiver on Boston Scott and drop either Zach Moss or Laviska? Or just roll out a combo of Drake, Kelley, Harris over the next couple weeks until Sanders comes back

    1. Post By Byron Lambert

I’d prob drop Moss for him

  5. Thanks for letting me partake in the chat earlier. Revisiting my RB desperation scenario:

    At 2-4, would you rather:

    (A) Keep JJacobs & hope to get Boston Scott/Hasty- all other WW RBs are gone until you get to Hines on the WWCS

    or

    (B) Trade JJacobs for SIngletary & Swift (or Gaskin) in PPR. Maybe not the best value, but I’m desperate, and Swift or Gaskin offer keeper value.

      Hey Hook em

Plan “A” sounds like the best one. but if you get in a pinch, plan B is a sound backup. Hate to cash out but you are in a must win now it sounds like.

Standard scoring 8 team league currently in 3rd place top 4 make playoffs.

    3WR, 2RB, 2 FLEX league

RB: Ezekiel Elliot, Chris Carson, CEH, David Johnson, Antonio Gibson
WR: Deandre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley, Will Fuller, OBJ, Robby Anderson, Henry Ruggs

Would you make either of these 2 trades:

    1. David Johnson and Robby Anderson/OBJ (1 or the other) for Josh Jacobs?

    2. CEH, Antonio Gibson, and Anderson/OBJ (1 or the other) for Kamara?

I feel like I have the assets to overpay a little if I need to to upgrade my starting roster

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

Love trading for JJ. He was one of Byron’s pre-season picks to finish as a top 5 RB despite getting drafted in the late 2nd round.

I like getting AK too. He is the best asset in fantasy football.

  7. Pick two of these WR in standard league:
    Deebo
    Ruggs
    Juedy
    Patrick
    Sanders
    Shenault

    Thanks!

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

Tim Patrick is ranked too low this week on the ECR, considering he is the main focus of the Broncos passing game. Id go with TP and Shenault. but so many great choices there.

  8. I’m stacked at WR and don’t have strong RB. would you trade Gibson/Julio Jones for Ezekiel Elliot. I’m hurting. Starting Gibson, Davis, Mattison and waiting for Ekeler to get back.

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

I like that trade for you, especially with your need for an RB. Go get it done!

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

Oh yes. Getting AK on your team locks you in for a playoff berth if he stays healthy. Well done

  10. Post By antpac@comcast.net

1 PPR. I have CEH. Thinking of trading Ronald Jones for Le’Veon and Amri Cooper. My WR’s are already Ridley, Kupp, Tyreek Hill and Tyler Boyd. Rb’s are Gibson, Freeman and Akers.
    Thanks

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

That is a nice trade for your team. Rojo lead RB for now, but LF coming back soon. Never know how that shakes out. I’d do that trade

  11. In PPR. Would I rather own Justin Jackson or Joshua Kelley?

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

Right now it is JJ. He is the lead RB. Things change but for now its JJ

  12. Someone in my league dropped Ruggs III. Should I drop Shenault to pick him up? I know both are a bit of a gamble but who should I bank on as a WR3 going forward? Thanks!

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

Close call, but Viska has a more solid floor. Its only a matter of time until he breaks out with that monster game

      1. Ok, i’ll stick with him then. Thanks!

  13. Was offered DK Metcalf for my JRob and Hollywood Brown. Standard scoring. I have Henry, Gibson, Pollard, and Edmonds as RB. Hill, Golladay, and Kupp as WRs.

    Do I pull the trigger?

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

That looks like a nice trade for you. Fair but favors your side.

  14. Post By andrewseibert15@icloud.com

Dak owner. I have Cam and Tannehill. Feel strong at WR with Allen Robinson, DK Metcalf, Claypool, Chark, Hollywood Brown, Slayton, and Diontae Johnson. I Can start up to 4 wr’s. Watson owner is willing to deal, but not interested in adding a QB. I offered Slayton, Devonta Freeman (my rb4) and Chase Edmunds. He declined. Would you recommend me parting with Claypool or Johnson to get it done or just ride with Cam/Tannehill? Thank you

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

Tannehill is QB5 on the year. He is a locked and loaded every week starter. His running ability makes him mostly matchup proof, even against the Steelers this week IMO. You do not need a QB.

    1/2 ppr dynasty

James robinson and 2nd pick for my leveon bell what’s your thoughts??

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

Oh yes!. There is risk that Jax adds an RB next year (Gus Edwards, James Connor, rookie) But JR is here to stay even if it is in a committee of two. Bell could finish strong on KC, and you will be hating life, but it is dynasty. Bell is a short term gamble.

  16. What about giving up Waller and Akers for Fant and R Jones? PPR?

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

Its fair if Fant is def playing. If not, you are going to be hurting at TE. Waller is one of the few set it and forget it TEs

  17. Flex D Freeman or Fulgham?

    1. Post By Alan Seslowsky

Classic Floor vs Upside. Fulgham is the upside player. I always like the nuclear option. But the floor is very low with TF

  18. Are we getting a tradecast today??

  19. Tradecast???

  20. Post By brentonlundquist@yahoo.com

Clyde Edwards Hilaire, David Montgomery or Jerrick McKinnon
