Byron BylineBuilding a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

PODCAST —- YOU CAN FIND THE WAIVER WIRE PODCAST HERE IN THE PODCAST SECTION AS SOON AS IT GETS POSTED. You can also find it on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, or anywhere podcasts are found. Listen to the podcast as a supplement to the sheet as you’re setting waiver claims for additional insight, however, the pod does not give the exact order and/or tiers of the sheet so do not consider it a substitute for using the sheet.

Whether you play in a standard waiver-claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

      You can do it if you feel like you can trade away Evans or Godwin. You need to accept the deal and make it work via a new trade because you want Godwin much more than Edelman.

Is it worth stashing Kareem Hunt? Been trying to trade Mark Ingram for weeks but nobody in my league wants him. Gotta love fantasy football.

      you really need to drop Montgomery? how short are your benches? I hope, like the guy above, you are not asking me this while holding onto a backup QB or TE. I’m not sure I could drop Montgomery at this point for a guy like Johnson but it is close. Would be curious to hear Byron’s thoughts if he drops in this post.

    Need some major advise on a trade counter offer i just received. I initially offered Sony Michel and Sutton for Michael Thomas. I received a counter-offer of Thomas for Sutton and Nick Chubb. Should I do it? I always have a quality RB on my bench and i’m trying to do the epic 2 for one 1 deal. Here are the details…. 12 team 1pt PPR. My team currently is.

    QB – Stream
    WR – Hopkins
    WR – Sutton
    RB – Chubb
    RB -Arron Jones
    Flex – Freeman
    TE – Waller
    Notable Bench Players: Mitchel, AJ Green, Kirk, Curtus Samuel

    I’m currently 5-2 and I think having both Hopkins And Thomas as my starting WR’s would be astronomical, but I need the Roster Watch blessing first!

          what do you mean you have too many RBs? You have Jones (in a committee), Freeman (without Matt Ryan for now on a shitty team), and Sony (a boom/bust, game-flow dependent asset)? What am I missing? You need all those guys, especially with the worst of the byes still on their way. You’re 5-2, don’t screw things up for yourself.

            From listening to the Tradecasts, I was looking to consolidate and go for a Monster player. Maybe the counter offer of me giving up Chubb and Sutton is too much. But what do you suggest I do with my 4 Running Backs… Chubb, Mitchel, Jones and Freeman. I feel like Mitchel is on a huge Sell-High. I first tried to offer Mitchel and Sutton for Thomas but he countered. Do you suggest offering any combo for Michael Thomas, or just leave my lineup as-is?

      It’s not a mandate– but you can if you want. He’ll be picked up soon. I’m not entirely sure he’s going to have a huge impact anytime soon at this point and would be more of a stash for playoffs— far from definitive and all very speculative. If you love him that’s fine— if you want you might wait until the AM see if he is still there and pick up for free
