RosterWatch Week 9 Matchup Tool Now Available

Welcome back.
This is a proprietary weekly tool provided by RosterWatch for our PRO community.
It is designed to be a decision-making tool for gauging the defensive opponents your fantasy players face. If you are new to this, our time-tested and most popular flagship in-season tool, the instructions for use couldn’t be simpler, and can be found below.
DO NOT RELY ON “FANTASY POINTS AGAINST” as your primary indicator for player matchups ever again. It is not an all-encompassing metric, as you’ll see, which will cause you heartache and struggle.
The rankings represented here are derived via a proprietary algorithm which takes into account not only traditional “fantasy points against” metrics (schedule-adjusted after 4 weeks of play), but also (and most importantly) weighted averages and medians of separate individual player and defensive-unit scouting grades for members of the 2025 unit that will be run-stopping, pass-rushing, or covering against the position in question, along with other analytic trends including projected game-script, game-flow/pace, sportsbook indicators, volume of total projected snaps and much, much, more.
…
INSTRUCTIONS:
To use the tool, think about your fantasy player.
Let’s say you roster Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. and would like to see how he matches up against the defense he faces this week.
First, look down the list and find the Cardinals (Harrison’s team). You will see that the Cardinals’ opponent (OPP) is the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9, and there are four color-coded cells in the horizontal columns marked “OPP vs. QBs,” “OPP vs. RBs,” “OPP vs. WRs” and “OPP vs. TEs.”
These are the OPPONENT’S (in this case the COWBOYS’) OFFICIAL ROSTERWATCH MATCHUP RANKINGS AGAINST THESE GIVEN POSITIONS.
They are not the rankings for the CARDINALS, but rather, for the OPPONENT THEY FACE IN THIS GIVEN WEEK (the THE COWBOYS). In the “OPP vs. WRs” cell for the Cards, you’ll notice a big, blue ‘No. 1’. This means that Harrison faces our best possible matchup for opposing WRs in Week 9 (the Cowboys). This is a great indicator for fantasy managers of MHJ. It is also a positive one for those thinking of rostering him in DFS contests.
Repeat the same process for other players on your roster as you are trying to break ties with closely ranked players regarding who to start and who to sit in season-long leagues. Also use it to identify which upside-plays to roster in DFS contests based on matchup.
With the launch of the online tool, you can now sort by any column: Vegas line, over/under, and matchup ranks vs. each position for easy reference. The Vegas lines are updated hourly for your reference and research. Please note that matchup ratings can change slightly through the week as lines and totals shift, or as injuries to key defensive personnel occur.
1 is the best (easiest) matchup, 32 is the worst (toughest).

Full PPR how do you guys feel about the following trade offer.
My: Maye, Gadasen, Charbs for his
Allen, Jeanty, David Montgomery, T.J Hock, Theo Johnson.
Here is my roster, I’m currently 5-3
Maye, Gibbs, Swift, London, Pittman, Kraft, Pickens, T Henderson, T Mac, DJ Moore, R White, Walker, Bucky..
I don’t want Hock or Theo.
Thanks RW
I would take that deal personally.
10-team Dynasty, 1QB, PPR
Start: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 2 FLEX, 1 TE
Record: 3-5, on playoff bubble trying to make moves to finish strong
Asked for advice on previous article about
whether to tank or fight at 3-5. Alex suggested not tanking yet and trading K. Shakir to a bad team for a “less sexy RB like Javonte Williams.” Problem is Javonte is on a 6-2 competing team, so he’s not available.
Roster:
QB: J. Love, D. Jones, A. Richardson (IR)
RB: B. Robinson, B. Hall, O. Hampton (IR), B. Allen (IR), K. Miller (IR), B. Smith, E. Wilson, S. Tucker, B. Knight
WR: N. Collins, E. Egbuka, A. Brown, J. Waddle, D. Moore, K. Shakir, R. Shaheed, T. Horton, D. Mooney, M. Washington, T. Harris, R. Flournoy
TE: T. Hockenson, C. Otton, Z. Ertz, T. Johnson, M. Mayer
Available RB targets from rebuilding teams:
2-6 team: D. Swift, RJ Harvey
1-7 team (unresponsive owner): T. Allgeier, A. Jeanty
Really appreciate Alex’s advice to move Shakir for RB depth, but need help executing since Javonte isn’t available. Trying to make the right move quickly here.
1. What RBs should I target for Shakir? The rebuilding teams have some options but not sure on value.
2. If Shakir alone isn’t enough for the better options, what should I add or who else should I move?
3. TE has been killing me all year so try to upgrade via trade or stick with what I have?!
I don’t want to move him for Swift and you can’t get that done for Jeanty. Harvey isn’t a needle mover either. Who are some others available?
Thanks for the feedback!
Other available RBs from non-contenders:
From a 3-5 team that needs WR (just traded away Kittle for a 2nd):
D. Henry, C. Brown, J. Warren, C. Hubbard
Also has McBride and Tyler Warren at TE
From a 4-4 team:
Z. Charbonnet, W. Marks, K. Monangai
Are any of these RBs worth targeting for Shakir?
Also – given my TE situation has genuinely cost me wins (started Ertz over Otton last week, lost because of it) AND the 7-1 team just got even stronger by adding Kittle, does it make sense to target that 3-5 team for both an RB and TE upgrade? Or would I be giving up too much trying to get both pieces?
Waddle, Sutton or Dowdle for flex. Full PPR. Playing Gadsden in my other flex spot with McBride as my TE spot,
Think I go Waddle, GL
