RosterWatch Week 9 Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet Now Available

Byron BylineBuilding a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

Whether you play in a standard waiver-claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

    Who do you think I should try stealing in exchange for Will Fuller? Unless you think Fuller can maintain his TD production? I know this is an unfair question as you don’t know my roster, but what I’m really looking for is a few names and I’ll go from there. or maybe discuss on the trad podcast tomorrow?

      Byron can answer in the TradeCast but for a comp, I recently traded Fuller + Emmanuel Sanders for Michael Thomas in one of our home leagues.

    What’s up RW nation! Have a roster/trade question. I am 7-1 in a 16 teamer by playing matchups and working waivers like crazy. My current roster situation is as follows:

    Gordon, Mixon, Mack, and Drake for RBs and (Odell IR) Amari, Doctson, Corey Davis, Dede Westbrook at WR, Ertz is my main TE.

    I have an offer to get Mike Thomas for Mixon. Should I do this trade? It’s PPR btw.

      Mixon for Michael Thomas is a deal I’d insta-accept even tho it will leave you weaker at RB. You’ll have to continue grinding waivers until Mack takes over fully but it will make your team better.

      Like Richardson better but would likely get in Parker this week – can’t answer start-sit questions until after matchup tool comes out though. As for waivers, would rather own P Rich.

    I’m 7-1 (thanks to RW Nation) in a standard scoring, 10-team league with a question about how to best prepare for post-season (starting with week 13). I’ve lost in play-offs the past two years and trying determine my weak areas so I can address them sooner. My roster:

    WR-MEvans/KAllen/WFuller/THill/DParker/SShepard/JDoctson

    DST-Bills
    The 4 highest waiver wire ranked RB/WR available are Sanu, Mack, JuJu, & PRichardson. I updated your Strength of Schedule for ROS and I’m thinking my order is Sanu/JuJu with Richardson a close 3rd. I’m 10th in the order.

    Do I pick up one of these (would drop Doctson)? Or, should I start picking up a 2nd QB or DST that compliments Carr and the Bills in playoff weeks? Rams, Ravens and Lions are available. Thanks guys!

      Its always a good idea to prepare for the playoffs when you are a top team. Keep in mind that you want to keep winning though.

        Thanks eyak29. I decided the same thing and dropped Doctson for Tyrod. All other 9 teams rostered 2-QBs all season so he was the better option. Buffalo has a good matchup weeks 14-16 and the trade for Kelvin Benjamin sealed the deal!

      You have to hold onto Jones in Dynasty. Ajayi is a unknown in his new offense and plus he has zero cartilage in his knees. That normally doesnt equal a long career.

    I see on the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet you have Cooper Kupp in front of Robert Wood. Wood leads the team in routes run, and targets (although meagerly over Kupp) but hasn;t got into the end zone yet. HIs catch rate, endzone targets and yards lead Kupp, again meagerly.

    I drafted Kupp and his last outing looked like he was catching on. I really like Wood here but am thinking to wait one more week before swapping them out. Or would you have a problem with me swapping them out now. Wood is Free Agent. I could also drop DeAndre Washington or John Ross. I just don’t like carrying both players from the same team. Alternatively, I could drop Ross now and next week decide who stays.

    12-team 0.5 PPR – Not a lot of bench space, but trying to gear up for playoffs. Do I drop Breida to pick up Dion Lewis? Note that I have Carlos Hyde. Or do I drop DOnta Foreman (I don’t have Miller).

    Minor note: I drafted Foreman so I can keep him next year for an 11th rounder.
