Byron BylineBuilding a championship-caliber fantasy roster requires basic weekly waiver-wire management. We’ve created the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet so that in a just a few minutes a week, our users can make the same expert waiver maneuvers we personally make in our own leagues, throughout the season.

PODCAST —- YOU CAN FIND THE WAIVER WIRE PODCAST HERE IN THE PODCAST SECTION AS SOON AS IT GETS POSTED. You can also find it on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, or anywhere podcasts are found. Listen to the podcast as a supplement to the sheet as you’re setting waiver claims for additional insight, however, the pod does not give the exact order and/or tiers of the sheet so do not consider it a substitute for using the sheet.

Whether you play in a standard waiver-claim format, or in a free-agent bidding system – we’ve got you covered. Read the chart top to bottom, and use it like the Draft Cheat Sheet. It’s not mandatory to go after the very top pick up every single week – use some basic discretion. Insane value can be cultivated through the bottom of the Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet over the course of the season.

All players listed on the WWCS are currently on the waiver wire in at least 50% of fantasy leagues across all major formats.

*Our advice is to recycle an average of 1-2 players per week from the bottom of your roster into hot waiver-wire pickups for the current week. This can be accomplished via waivers, or on the cheap as free-agent pickups post-waiver period .

      Hit accept as fast as possible. Bell has a great schedule but Chubb is the far superior back. Chubb surprisingly even has a better line.

      I would drop both for either of those two. Not an obvious drop but I think Jaylen/Mattison are league winners whereas the other 2 most definitely are not.

      I would drop him for either Mike Williams or Robby whoever you prefer. Both are upgrades for Cooks, who may be out for an extended period of time. Look for McVays comments earlier today re: Cooks’ concussions.

      Drop Crowder for Cam in a hot minute. Cam is a top QB when healthy and IMO he hasn’t been for the better part of a year. Just realize he is not playing this week. Hopefully next. Good luck.

    12 team .5 PPR

    .5 per completion for QB

    My Qb has been killing me And I’m 4-4. I currently own Kyler and Baker, and plan on claiming Jamies for this week.

    My WRs are Hilton Godwin
    RBs are Chubb, Barkley, Bell and Coleman (but can only play 3 of them, one in flex)

    Would you try and use a Coleman and Hilton to try and upgrade the QB position and shoot for a Lamar Jackson, and subsequently try and get Tyreek Hill out of it too.

    So Coleman/Hilton for Jackson/Hill. The other owner has Brees so I think Jackson can be had…

      I would do it. Lamar is basically a RB and although he has a tough schedule coming up (big test this weekend) its a massive upgrade. Need W’s now at 4-4 and IMO Kyler and Baker aren’t going to take you to the promise-land. Not to mention Hill is > Coleman and Hilton individually. Go get em!

    Would you trade high on Montgomery, plus Keenan Allen for James Connor and Robert Woods? Standard Scoring. My other WR’s are Mike Thomas, Allen Rob, DJ Chark, Michael Gallup than of course Woods. I also have Jaylen Samuels in case Connors injury is worse than it seems. Thank you!

      I would yes. Cooper is other worldly and you are never going to play HH over Waller.

    Just traded Ekler for Kittle and have a guy wanting to do a follow up of Kittle and Sutton for Cooper. I do have Elliot also so it may be too much cowboys. My TE without Kittle would be Herndon or a streamer. What do you guys think too much for Coop?

        Amari Cooper right? I like Gallop and am a Cowboys fan but Cooper is a top 5 WR. Gallop is more of a backend 2/3. HH is amazing but he already has Waller.

        I’d do that trade if you’re confident in making it to the playoffs. Doubt you’ll play Jacobs over David Johnson or Leonard Fournette once your in the playoffs, whereas Kittle is clear upgrade to Herndon and Hock though.

      Do not get rid of a running back like Josh Jacobs. Especially for a tight end. Running back is one spot you want a luxury in. Look what happened to David Johnson already. Plus Herndon is almost back in action.

At WR i have Diggs Godwin Thomas OBJ Hollywood Sanu. Also have Andrews and Hooper at TE. What you think of maybe sending One of Diggs/OBJ/Brown with Walton and one of my TEs for Bell and Anderson?

      Maybe try Jones + Walton + DJ + Sanu for RA + LB (Sanu + RB for RA and/or DJ + RB for Bell)
      OR— Hooper/Andrews + DJ + Sanu + Walton/Jones for LB + RA

      Definitely think shipping off a TE would get this done too. Maybe a TE straight up for Anderson, or a TE + DJ for Bell

    PPR. Playing Andrews every week at TE and have Hockenson on the bench. With his limited role in that offense do you think Darrell Henderson is a better bench stash for depth after his Bye week? I do not own Gurley.

    I have a similar question. I currently have the #2 waiver pick and have been desperate for a consistent TE. I currently have J Graham as my starter and just picked up Ebron on the bench. Would I be better off using my waiver pick and picking up Hockenson who is available, or should I just make due?

      I think you just keep matchup playing TE and make due. TJH and Ebron both have a good matchup this wk. Maybe look at the targets and the upcoming schedules.

    Matt Ryan got dropped in my 2QB league. In order to pick him up I need to do some maneuvering so bear with me. I can only carry 3 QBs max and 1 in IR slot. My active QBs are Jackson, Moore and Darnold with Mahomes in IR. I can’t make a roster move because the player in IR must be OUT. I kept Mahomes in IR but the site has him Doubtful.
    The option I have is to drop 2 of my QBs, activate Mahomes from IR, pick up Ryan, wait for Mahomes to be labeled OUT, move Mahomes back to IR, then pick up whatever is left for my 2nd starting QB. That 2nd starting QB will be someone like Keenum or B Allen.
    The biggest issue is that I have waiver claim #5 so this is no guarantee.
    What would you do in this case? Ryan must not be on waivers.

      This depends on your record and place in the standings and your chances to win your matchup THIS week. I’d say go for it if you are no worse than a 1 or 2 loss team, or sit tight otherwise. Soon you will be starting Jackson and Mahomes every wk, Ryan would be a bench guy anyways. This is a luxury move.
