Texas High School Football: 2016 DB Raleigh Texada – Frisco Centennial
Texas High School Football: 2016 DB Raleigh Texada – Frisco Centennial
Alex Dunlap, Rosterwatch
Expect the recruitment of 2016 DB Raleigh Texada to see an uptick over the course of the Spring and through the Summer season of recruiting camps regionally. Texada is a pest to opposing receivers as a defensive back, and looks to be growing into a body built for explosive performance and testing. Texada consistently finds ways to make plays on the ball and contest passes. Texada has a natural quick twitch in his movements and patience in his read-and-react nature that is refined beyond his years.
Just as importantly, we’ve been told by folks close to the Texada family that Raleigh is the model of a student athlete and a respectful, humble young man.
Some highlights from Texada’s short high school career thus far:
– Led his District in pass break-ups with 12.
– Only sophomore starter on his team.
– Received an invitation and participated in the US Army National Combine in San Antonio, Tx.
– Already listed on the Texas A&M Big Board for 2016 Prospects.
– Brother (Ranthony Texada) is a CB at TCU who had 22 offers and rated as the best DB in the state of Texas in the class of 2013 by Dave Campbell Football Magazine.
– Finished his season with 25 solo tackles, 13 assisted tackles and 1 forced fumble and fumble recovery.
– Runs a consistent 4.50 40 at this point, will run track in the Spring of 2014.
– Plays in one of the toughest districts in the state of Texas – School has won three-straight district and bi-district championships.
