The Garbage Grab: Week 9

Garbage Grab Week 9

These players aren’t pretty, but they could just save your fantasy lives this week. Don’t hesitate to play them in a pinch.

Donald Driver WR, Packers: With Jordy Neslon  out this week I expect Aaron Rodgers to spread it around. Old faithful is a viable option this week.

Vick Ballard RB, Colts: This isn’t that deep a pick, but Ballard is owned in only 30% of leagues. Donald Brown was downgraded to questionable today, so that only increases the rookie’s chances of getting a plethora of carries.

Mark Ingram RB, Saints: Well it took an injury to Sproles to make him a consideration on the Saints offense, but Ingram is back on the radar. New Orleans doesn’t like depending on any one player too much, so I can’t believe that Pierre Thomas will get all the action. If they’re on the goal line, it will be Ingram who gets the nod.

Louis Murphy WR, Panthers: Murphy will start in place of Brandon LaFell against a Redskins secondary that can’t stop the pass. Steve Smith and Greg Olsen will get first looks, but there will be plenty to go around in what should be an exciting matchup of the last two Heisman winning quarterbacks.

Ryan Broyles WR, Lions: Yeah, he was here last week, but Broyles’ is still owned in less than 15% of leagues. Calvin Johnson is no guarantee to play against the Jaguars, and even if he does he will be limited, leaving the door open for Titus Young Sr. and Broyles. I already liked the matchup, but this news only makes my mouth water.

Michael Floyd WR, Cardinals: Floyd tied for the team lead with 11 targets last week. And though he only ended up with five catches for 36 yards, the Notre Dame standout will continue to get looks. I expect him to get quite a few this week against a Packers team that lives by the pass.

Justin Forsett RB, Texans: Forsett will play the role of relief back to the heavy laden Arian Foster this week. Expect from him what you would expect from Ben Tate on any given Sunday.

Dwayne Allen TE, Colts: No Colby Fleener means Allen will see double the action he normally does. Andrew Luck looks for him in the end-zone too, so he won’t need a ton of yards to be of service to you.

Brandon Weeden QB, Browns: Weeden has a deceivingly nice matchup against a beatable Ravens secondary this week. The 12th ranked QB over the past four weeks, Weeden is worth a spot start on pretty much any matchup from this point on.
