The Tight End Situation in Denver: Tamme, Dreesen, and Clark? Oh My!
The Tight End Situation in Denver: Tamme, Dreesen, and Clark? Oh My!

The prowess of Tom Brady’s two headed tight end behemoth last season did not go unnoticed by the Broncos and their player/coach Peyton Manning. They know to be competitive in the AFC, they need at least two stud tight ends on the field at all times. At least this what I’m guessing is going through their heads as they have added former Colt Jacob Tamme and Houston end zone magnet Joel Dreessen to their roster in a very short period of time. But it might not stop there! There is a possibility that old Peyton fail-safe Dallas Clark could be added to the mix as well. This is pure speculation by a few NFL insiders, but I wouldn’t put it out of the question.
As it stands right now, the speedy Tamme will move around in the slot while Dreessen will play the line. Think Aaron Hernandez to Rob Gronkowski. Like both tight ends in New England produce, I can see both players getting theirs in a Manning led offense as well. I tend to lean to Dreessen being the better fantasy value, as you can probably get him on the cheap, and he should continue being a touchdown hog there in Denver. There are a ton of mouths to feed with the capable Demaryius Thomas, and Eric Decker out wide, but trusting Peyton’s head doesn’t pop off like a rock ’em sock ’em robot, everyone should be fantasy roster worthy this season. Mind you, if Clark gets added, all bets are off as to who gets what.
