Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 3

Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 3

Here we are once again. It’s still early in the season, but teams are already ailing from a multitude of injuries. Luckily we have what cures your ails – The Week 3 Garbage Grab!

Quarterback

Andy Dalton, Bengals: Dalton threw for 4 TDs last week in a convincing win over Baltimore. Without Joe Mixon around this week, he’s going to have to depend on the pass even more than usual. Carolina has a solid defense, but they’re easier to beat through the air than on the ground.

Running Back

Theo Riddick, Lions: Riddick has 19 targets through 2 weeks, and I expect him to be on the field often as the Lions play catch-up to a supercharged Patriots passing game. He’s the one Lions RB that I trust this week.

Buck Allen, Ravens: Allen has matched Alex Collins in carries and touches in both games this season, and he should prove useful again this week against a Denver team that you don’t want to run at down the middle.

Wide Receiver

Josh Doctson, Redskins: Doctson is 3rd on the Redskins in targets this season, which doesn’t say a whole lot in an Alex Smith offense, but I expect Smith to air it out more than usual in what should be a tit for tat high scoring game with Aaron Rodgers and co.

Dede Westbrook, Jaguars: Westbrook has an upside as good as anybody, and he’s coming off an 80+ yard, 1 TD game into a matchup with Tennessee that has proven to be beneficial for WRs this season.

Calvin Ridley, Falcons: OC Steve Sarkisian made a serious endeavor to get Ridley the ball in Week 2, and the rookie made good with 4 receptions for 64 yards and a TD. He gets to face the Saint at home this week, a team that has given up the most points to receivers so far.

Tyler Boyd, Bengals: Boyd is the Bengals no.2 passing option in a game where Cincy’s powerhouse RB is on the sideline. Their competition, the Panthers are easier to throw against than to run anyway.

Tight End

Ricky Seals-Jones: He’s getting the targets, 6 in both games so far, but RSJ hasn’t been able to capitalize as of yet. It’s unlikely Bradford will get enough time to take downfield shots against Khalil Mack and the Bears, so expect him to utilize his TE and RB to the best of his ability, which I admit is limited.

Austin Hooper, Falcons: Hooper had 59 yards and a TD against a tough Carolina defense in Week 2, so going up against the surprisingly soft Saints should prove to be fruitful, especially in what may be the highest scoring game of the week.

  1. 12 team .5 PPR. I was offered David Johnson for D Adams. I already have Mike Evans and Z Elliott. Also have Edelman on the bench with thoughts of WR2 when he returns. Make the trade?

  2. 1 ppr. I have Marvin Jones. On my bench I have Josh Gordon, Royce Freeman, and Adrian Peterson. Should I wait to see if Jones plays and if not switch him out for Gordon, or move him to my flex and play Freeman or Peterson?

Sorry for the late question and thanks if you guys find time to get to it!!

I am in a league where QB TDs are 7 pts and I have Luck and Rivers, who should I start?

  4. Standard league. Bench one…. CMC, DJ or L Murray? Am I crazy to sit Johnson?

    1. 6 am?! You guys are cockamamie!!!!

Crazy, but think you have to man

  5. PPR. Start Kupp, Cobb or John Brown over Fitz today?

    Thanks

    1. Yes, I’m rolling Kupp

  6. 1/2 PPR. Fournette, Collins, or Michel?

    1. Crazy tough call. Prob LF if he goes.

  7. Post By rbrusuelas@consolidated.net

I know the tool favors Sanders over Cooks… but with rain in BAL, would that move you off Sanders to Cooks (standard)? Also, if Fournette doesn’t play, stay with Yeldon, or move to Michel (PPR)?

    1. either option is fine. if you feel safer with cooks, that’s still a strong play. i’d go with sony in that case

  8. Post By Kwillee@hotmail.com

Good morning RW Nation!!! With the latest news…. Clement, Goodwin, M Jones , E Sanders. Need 2 of the 4 in a ppr!

    1. Post By Kwillee@hotmail.com

And with Goodwin playing if not now when on Jimmy G over Cam???

    2. sanders, goodwin. scared to wait for jones in the night game after his ankle injury. jimmy has what may be his best matchup all season, so it’s not a bad week to start him, but cam gets the bengals who just let flacco throw for over 375 yards. i usually err on the side of qbs who run, as they have built in floors.

        Thanks Tman!

And Adam Shefter tweeted at 7:35am CT : “Jaguars’ RB update: TJ Yeldon expected to play today.
Leonard Fournette not expected to play today, per league sources. Jaguars going to play it safe with Fournette.”

If Fournette sits, Yeldon or Sony Michel?

First year Roster Watch Pro…..Team name:I Luv Big TDs…..record:1-1….full PPR.
I need two of the following four. Corey Clement, David Johnson,. Collins from Baltimore, and Fournette. Thanks

  11. Would you roll with saints D? Or pick up Seattle, Washington, Cinci, or Washington? Shit show, I know! Looking for points!

  12. Need two RBs. Ppr league

    Brieda
    Gio
    Murray

    1. Gio. Brieda.

  13. 12 team .5 PPR. Team offered me David Johnson for Devante Adams. I have Mike Evans and Z Elliott. Make the trade?

    1. I would not do it.

  14. With the news of for net out how much is that raise Corey Grant I’m the rankings.

  15. PPR: Breida or Yeldon

  16. Yeldon or Lindsey?

  17. Ahead of kickoff: Who is Todd Gurley’s handcuff?

  18. LF out.. Corey Grant or Burkhead PPR

  19. I have issues. Which 2 do I start today? Phil Lindsay, Fournette, McCoy, Ajayi, Blount, Chubb, Montgomery?

    1. @bigbarret Is this a joke? Nick Chubb already played on Thursday Bro, and Fournette, McCoy, Ajayi, are all inactive due to injury this week, so it’s definitely Phil Lindsay and go see if TJ Yeldon is available on your waiver wire right now or maybe even Jordan Wilkins, Nahiem Hines or some other healthy body. Good Luck

      1. Not a joke, much more of a whine. The waiver wire is completely bare. Big league with lots of roster spots. The real question was blount, Montgomery, or if they thought that McCoy or Fournette might go.

    2. Fournette and McCoy are out so that should help with the decision. I go Lindsay and didn’t Chubb play Thursday night?

  20. Thanks for your help. 12 team ppr, for flex, Now that Fournette is not likely to play, who would you recommend at flex, Yeldon, Hogan, Funchess or R Cobb?

    1. hogan if no gordon. yeldon otherwise

  21. Roethlisberger or Ryan

  22. Post By Austin Benedict

    Corey Grant
    Burkhead
    Jamal Williams

    In a PPR.

    Signed,
    Fournett and D. Freeman owner

  23. .5 PPR

With LF out, do you flex: Yeldon, Watkins, Javorius, Kerryon, AP, JG or Shady?

  24. Start Adrian Peterson or Corey Clement? Seems close on the rankings! CC has a niiice matchup but is part of a RBBC it seems like. AP will get run early on, but I worry his snaps will be limited if they’re playing from behind against GB. Thanks!

  25. Russell Wilson was dropped this am. Would you agree that I should drop Luck (or Kerryon) for Wilson?
    Thanks

    1. he should be owned. i’d probably drop kj

      1. I also have Wentz on my roster, that’s why I was thinking of cutting luck as first choice.

  26. Am i crazy….
8 man PPR, is lesean mccoy droppable? For Sony?
    -could also drop ekeler

    1. almost anyone is droppable in an 8 team league.

  27. Gents,

    14 TM PPR

I’ve got Mike Evans and EMan at WR1&2 and Golden Tate as my Flex.

I’ve got Allen Robinson on my bench and after consulting with all of the tools I have an itch to replace EMan with ARob as my WR2.

Those are the 3(or 4) in play for me. I need an additional tiebreaker organ than my gut.

  28. Dion Lewis , Funchess, Emmanuel Sanders or cooper Kupp? Need two of the four for a receiver and Flex. Have Lamar Miller and Lat Murray as RB’s. (Fournette out?). Appreciate the help

    1. I’d rank them

      Sanders
      Kupp
      Lewis
      Funchess

I have to start Dion as an RB2 in a league and I don’t like it.

  29. Got that Fournette/Mixon/Goodwin mess in several leagues. Here for that delicious garbage. Rolling Brieda/Ekeler/Riddick in a couple spots… So trashy.

  30. Need 3, 1/2 Point PPR… K. Allen, OBJ, Hilton, Diggs

  31. Goodwin is active so I have to start him right?

Also Tyler Boyd or Tyler Lockett?

  32. Post By rudymazzocca@yahoo.com

    Luck or bortles?

  33. Need 2 ppr yeldon, stills, d Thomas, Fitzgerald, cole, marvin jones?

    1. Prob Yeldon and Stills —- maybe Marvin over Yeldon

  34. Sammy Watkins or Marvin Jones?

    Breida or Yeldon?

    Thanks fellas

    1. Prob Sammy and Breida to play it safe

  35. 1 point PPR
    Name: Sisters of the Poor
Flex: James White or Phil Lindsay??

    1. Prob Lindsay

  36. Standard scoring and stuck on Flex choice.

Between Hilton, A Collins or Kupp

      1. thanks Trashman

  37. Goodwin or Fitzgerald?

  38. Yeldon, Rolls Royce, or Derrick Henry?

  39. Need a flex.

Adrian Peterson, Chris Godwin, Randall Cobb, Kerryon Johnson?

  40. RSJ! Hahah. You are a fucking magician!

    1. Fortune favors the bold!

  41. Post By daniel.price17@yahoo.com

would you trade TY and Shady or Marshawn for Mixon? .5 PPR

    1. If you think you can make a stronger starting lineup by doing that, I suppose. It may be too rich in the long run though.

  42. Would you trade AP to get Amari?

  43. Post By kgf2525@yahoo.com

10 team Std Non PPR. Own Gurley, CMC, Conner, Jamaal Williams, Ekeler & Alex Collins. Should I TRADE Williams for another RB due to the fact Aaron Jones may take carries away from Jamaal. If so, which RBs should I target.

    1. if you can somehow get a DJ or Cook in trade, that’d be great. you can probably get bell to buffer conner too

  44. trade help….

    Get: Saquon Barkley
Give: D. Freeman and T. HIll

I’d have D. Johnson and Barkley at RB with Ingram and Crowell, and at WR I’d have Thielen, D. Adams, Funchess, and J. Gordon.

    1. too rich in my book. Hill is going to be great more often than not.

  45. Trashman! Are you serious? Is this your best garbage grab ever? 8 combined TD’s to go along with a Hooper 2 pt conversion! Unbelievable stuff!

  46. Tip of the cap to you O Trashy One.

  47. .5 ppr

What do you think about offering up AP and Sammy Watkins and trying to get David Johnson?

    1. good chance it doesn’t end up worth, unless you’re not finding way to start both right now
