Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 7

Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 7

One man’s injury is another man’s opportunity, and this week’s Grab is no exception.

Quarterback

Blake Bortles, Jaguars: I rarely advocate for Bortles, but the cake matchup with the Colts and the probable absence of Leonard Fournette makes for a lot of opportunities in the passing game.

Running Back

Chris Ivory, Jaguars: Again, this depends on Fournette’s availability, but Ivory could be in for close to 20 touches if the rookie sits.

Matt Forte, Jets: Forte is old and slow, but he looks like the Jets’ best bet for production this week as their lead back.

Dion Lewis, Patriots: Mike Gillislee fumbled last game, which puts him in Bill Belichick’s infamous doghouse. Expect Lewis to lead the Saints in carries against the Falcons.

Wide Receivers

Robert Woods, Rams:  Woods has quietly become the Rams’ go to receiver and he gets a cherry matchup against the Cardinals who give it up to everyone but whoever Patrick Peterson is covering, who will likely be Sammy Watkins.

Jordan Matthews, Bills: No Charles Clay leaves Matthews to be the most reliable target for a Bills team searching for pass catchers. The matchup versus the Bucs is among the best you can draw.

Benny Fowler, Broncos: Fowler is going to soak up targets as the replacement for Emmanuel Sanders this week. He’s shown good hands and an ability to get open in the past, and I expect to see more of that this week against the Chargers.

Adam Humphries, Buccaneers: Humphries has been on of PPRs unsung heroes over the past 4 weeks, as he’s posted 6 receptions and 50+ yards in every game but one. He’s going to do it again this week as safety valve against a stifling Bills secondary.

Tight End

George Kittle, 49ers: Rookie QB C.J. Beathard will lean heavily on Kittle at home against Dallas. He should be behind only Pierre Garcon in team targets this week.

  1. Need one of the following for my flex: Doug Martin, CJA, or Chris Ivory

    1. The trashman in me loves an opportunity to play ivory. I think cja is the safest play

  2. Woods or jordy. Heard it’s supposed to rain in lambo. The guy I’m playing is starting Goff too if that makes a difference.

    1. Have to roll with Nelson

  3. Team name Game Changers ,12t ppr
I need 2 RB’s McKinnon, Gillislee, Montgomery or Buck Allen.
Need one WR’s Hogan or Snead.
    What remaining as flex?

    1. Mckinnon, allen, Hogan, Montgomery

  4. Trashman!! Good Morning! Need a little Flex help!

Need to choose one of these guys. PPR league.

    Demarco Murray
    Derrick Henry
    Christian McCaffrey
    ASJ

  5. Marcus Mariota & Kelvin Benjamin for Devante Adams and Devin Funchess? Ten team standard. I have Russell Wilson but am a little nervous about him going forward. I would be getting Mariota & Benjamin. Thoughts?

    1. I’m not nervous about Wilson, but it’s not a bad move unless it weakens your starting lineup. If you’re not starting funchess on the regular, i don’t mind it

  9. Hey Trashman, should I start Jimmy Graham or Cameron Brate ? Standard league. Thanks

    1. Graham

Ivory is available in my league. Is Fournette gonna be out. Who do I drop for Ivory: Cohen, Darkwa, James Stewart, or L Murray? Thanks

    1. Probably Darkwa or Murray. Hard to trip J stew with all the volume even though he’s been sucking with it.

  12. PPR flex, kearse or kupp?

    1. Kupp, I have a feeling everything will be funneled to the middle of the field.

  13. BUCKNASTY 3-3

    1 pt PPR

    I trade:

    Buck Allen

    I receive:

    Blount
    Sectarian Jenkins

    Thank you!

    1. Really depends on if you need a tight end or not. The Baltimore back field is a mess and no one is taking over but Blount isn’t going to catch very many passes with Smallwood so he is TD dependant but he is getting way more touches than Allen. I think you should do it!

  14. Should I trade away Julio and Marshawn for Cooks and MIxon in a 2 keeper ppr league?

    1. I dont think you can give up Julio without getting someone elite in return. Only way I would do it is if I relied on Lynch as a every week starter and have no one to replace him with. I would still shop for someone better than Mixon though.
