Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 9

It’s week 9, and if your team is anything like mine, you’ve got a bye week nightmare on your hands. The ‘Grab the week is stocked with bye week fillers, and maybe a few keepers, to get you through the weekend.

Isaiah Crowell RB, Browns: Crowell is still the best back on the team, whether the coaching staff acknowledges that or not. Look for him to get back in the mix this week versus Tampa Bay.

Jordan Matthews WR, Eagles: My main reason for putting Matthews in the grab this week is that he was targeted 11 times last week against Arizona. Houston isn’t as aggressive an offense as Arizona, so he probably won’t top that, but it’s evident that he’s still a big part of the game plan for Philly.

Stevie Johnson WR, 49ers: Johnson has been steady over most of the season, and St. Louis v. San Fran games have been barn-burners the last few go rounds. Hes a decent flex play for bad bye weeks like this.

Clay Harbor TE, Jaguars: Harbor isn’t going to win your fantasy week for you single handedly, but he won’t lose it for you either. He’s a bye week stop gap.

Christine Michael RB, Seahawks: Michael is getting more involved on the offense, and you have to think he’s going to get some garbage time action against the lowly Raiders.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins TE, Buccaneers: ASF has a tough matchup versus Cleveland, but he’s imposing enough to will his way to fantasy production. He’s going to get even better.

Brandon Weeden QB, Cowboys: Weeden has a cannon for an arm, although it’s not entirely accurate. He’s going to have to use it to stay in the game with Arizona, and he will connect enough to make him a valid fantasy play this week.

De’Anthony Thomas RB, Chiefs: This is kind of a super trashy pick, but I like the Chiefs to get creative in an effort to bypass the Jets’ stifling run defense. Thomas could play a big part of that scheme this week.

Kenny Britt WR, Rams: Britt is arguably the Rams best option at receiver now that Brian Quick is done. He has a nice matchup this week against a San Fran pass defense that gives up the big play.

  1. Start Joseph randle or mike smith?

    1. And by mike smith i mean mike james

  2. Trying to make a championship run.. I’ve got Megatron, Benjamin, Desean Jackson, Martavis Bryant and Devante Adams at WR. McCoy, T Richardson, Rashad Jennings and Fred Jackson at RB. Locked with Manning at qb and Gronk at TE…. 14 team league .25PR league 7-1 sitting in 1st, likely gonna lose this week though but 1st by a mile in total points.

1 Guy in our league is 2-6 about to be 3-6 (6 teams make the playoffs) and his RB situation is an absolute nightmare. He’s got BLount, J Stewart, Bush and Jones Drew… Has at WR Green,Nelson Smith sr and Edeleman

I’m thinking of trying to get a WR out of him to put me over the top and take my chances with my Injury prone backs leftover. I’m thinking of Offering D Jax and T Richardson for Nelson

Do you guys like that? Or should I maybe try to target Green and his turf toe, which he appears to have fully overcome.

Or should I just count my blessings that I’ve been on the good side of some trades… (Cobb and Sproles for Megatron & T rich in week 6, Mckinnon and Kelce for Shady this past weekend)

    Appreciate any help guys
