Week 11 Garbage Grab

Trashman’s Garbage Grab: Week 11
There’s been a lot of bad news regarding players’ health already this week, and we’ll probably get some more before kickoff on Sunday. Don’t get caught by surprise. Get your replacement players right. Here’s the Grab…

Running Back
Latavius Murray, Ravens – 36% owned
Murray is questionable to play this week, but most signs indicate he will give it a go. The main issue is if he’ll split carries equally with Devonta Freeman or if he’ll be the lead back once again. The fact that the Ravens cut Le’Veon Bell this week bolsters the fantasy values of both backs, but Murray is the one available in most leagues at this point.

Ty Johnson, Jets – 20% owned
Johnson had his first sub double-digit game in PPR formats last week, but the Jets were playing the Bills so that’s not to be unexpected. The Jets face the Dolphins this week, and while Miami seems to be improving, Johnson should still be effective in his role as the main pass-catching back for the Jets, even with Joe Flacco now under center.

Wide Receiver
Donovan Peoples-Jones, Browns – 22% owned
With at least 70 yards and 3 TDs in 3 of his last 4 games and a spot on the starting roster for the Browns now that Odell Beckham is a Ram, DPJ has WR2 upside. He shouldn’t have much trouble finding room to run against Detroit this week, and the only question is whether the Browns will need him if they go up big early.

Byron Pringle, Chiefs – 1% owned
Pringle gets more involved in the Chiefs offense every week it seems, with Pringle catching 4 balls on 5 targets for 46 yards and a TD last week. It’s going to be a shootout at Arrowhead Stadium this week when the Chiefs welcome the Cowboys, so don’t be surprised if Pringle’s role continues to grow as his offense starts to find its footing again. I’ll take any piece of the KC’s offense that I can get when they’re firing on all cylinders.

Marcus Johnson, Titans – 18% owned
Johnson took on the Julio Jones role for the Titans last week, and he actually ended up leading the team in receiving(5 rec, 100 yards) now that most of the defenses’ attention can be focused on stopping AJ Brown. It was just one game, but it’s a good indication of Johnson’s involvement moving forward. He’s got a tasty matchup with Houston this week, so don’t hesitate to use him in deeper formats.

Tight End
Cole Kmet, Bears – 24% owned
Kmet is averaging 7 targets and just over 50 yards over his last 3 games, which is already fair for a TE. The fact that Allen Robinson is out this week and the Ravens are a top-5 matchup for opposing TEs, just makes Kmet more of a fantasy asset going into Week 11. Use him in a pinch.

Evan Engram, Giants – 31% Owned
Engram has scored in back to back games now, and this week he gets a Tampa team that is tough to run on but remains a top-10 matchup for TEs. His floor is admittedly low, but Engram is one of the few Giants who may actually find the end-zone in Week 11.

Quarterback
Cam Newton, Panthers – 41% owned
Newton is owned in more leagues than I usually allow to make the Grab, but I just have to make an exception in this case. Newton is starting his first game as a Panther against Washington, a team that is the best matchup for opposing QBs in the entire league. If there’s a week to roll with Cam it’s this one, as his footwork alone will bolster his floor.
