*****As a reminder, we always recommend using the Cheat Sheet in conjunction with the Vegas Tool once it is published Saturday evenings as Vegas almost always identifies a few value plays who aren’t necessarily on the sheet, but may provide excellent flexibility cap-wise. Sometimes we will update the sheet through the weekend as information comes in from injury reports, Vegas or elsewhere*****

HOW DOES THE SHEET WORK?

THE GOAL of the sheet is to reduce the number of players for the weekly slate to players expected to generate Positive Surplus Value (fantasy points over salary expected points). The player pool is narrowed down to players who meet a minimum number of trends.

THE TRENDS are a series of pass/fail threshold tests of position-specific stats predictors. Through the use of predictive models, we have analyzed every predictive metric we could for each position related to Vegas Indicators, Unit Matchups, Individual Matchups, Historical Performance, Game Script, Weather, and so much more.

    Is Cleveland’s defense good enough to hold onto them with their bad matchup, or drop them for a team like:

    Indianapolis vs Oakland
    Pittsburgh vs Cincy
    Denver vs Jacksonville

      I’m in the same boat. I’m scrambling around to get someone with a non noon start time to have at the ready if Godwin is a no go.

      I have Godwin in a PPR league of my own and was going to play Terry McLaurin but he’s out. I did pick up Paul Richardson though. I bet we see him in the garbage grab this week.

      Conner is probably the only good buy-low target in that mix. I would not mess with the makeup of your current roster to work a deal with this dude unless you could swindle Miles Sanders + a throw in for Conner.

      it’s not like the Giants have a ton of great WRs but understand your point. Our model is significantly higher on Jones than Rivers, but both Byron and I prefer Rivers. It’s hard to lean one way or the other for us, but we might lean with the veteran here in the awesome matchup since both guys are on the road.

      Thank you for the support – I didn’t love it either, but we have to stick with the process on the sheets. I think the model loved him because he’s actually cheaper on FD than he is on DK which is unheard of. He’s playing 70% of snaps and I think the trends show that Bowles’ defense is due to regress some. TBH, I don’t always love the plays on the sheet and that is why I make sure to do the DFS pod as well so I can make sure and explain my personal favorite plays as well. Best of luck this weekend.

      I’d pick up Duke and just hold for a while to see if he becomes more integrated through the season. HE could be very valuable if used with more volume.
