Week 8 WR Touchdown Dependency
Byron Lambert, Rosterwatch.com
Percy Harvin and Vincent Jackson were perfect examples of these ratios last night. If Harvin doesn’t score, you still get nine points. If Jackson doesn’t score, you get four.
With two of the top five fantasy receivers on the season, this tool would have been a nice tiebreaker if you had been faced with that tough decision.
As always, two charts. One sorted by points on the season. One sorted by touchdown dependency ratios in ascending order. The lower the ratio, the better the forecast for future consistency. Unless, of course, a player’s ratios is so far below average that he qualifies as touchdown deficient. Those players just need get their asses in gear and score some damn touchdowns. Oh yeah, guys highlighted in red are players you might be a little cautious with or possibly look to trade for safer options.
