Fantasy Football Week 6 Buy Low, Sell High

We’re here to improve your roster with these failsafe moves to better your team:
Chris Johnson RB, Tennessee Titans: Johnson got his first touchdown of the season last week, and that should give him enough momentum to land safely on someone else’s fantasy team. At that rate he’ll have maybe 4 on the season, which is not what you need from a back many put in their preseason top ten. He’ll get yards, but his ceiling is about as low as it gets for a player of his caliber. The soon return of Shonn Green doesn’t help matters either.
Hakeem Nicks WR, New York Giants: Against the Eagles, Nicks put up his highest point total in almost two seasons and followed it up with a decent night against Chicago in Week 6’s Thursday Night affair. I don’t expect him to do it again anytime soon. The Giants are terrible, and soon enough they’ll want to see what they have in their younger players, and that doesn’t include Nicks who’s likely out next year in NYC. He’ll have some good days, sure, but his season is a roller-coaster ride that is bound to make you sick.
Pierre Thomas RB, New Orleans Saints: I hope you were able to use Thomas in Week 5, because that’s the best fantasy game he’ll have all year. Check that, in his life. His stock is on the rise after that 2 TD monster, but that game was an anomaly. He’ll maintain some value, but it will never be as high again this season as it is right now. Use that to your advantage and trade up.
Bilal Powell RB, New York Jets: The Jets running game has mutated into a three-headed monster overnight, and while Powell is the bigger of those heads, he’s still having to split time three ways. As the season progresses, I expect Chris Ivory and Mike Goodson to eat more and more into Powell’s carries, leaving him as nothing more than pedestrian. It was nice while it lasted, but his fifteen minutes are about up.

Denarius Moore WR, Oakland Raiders: Moore’s value isn’t exactly low at this moment, but it’s about to get much higher. QB Terrelle Pryor is the real deal, and he’ll only get better as the season progresses. He’s going to take Moore with him. Right now you can get him at WR3 prices, and he’s going to perform at least at WR2 numbers with a limitless ceiling.
Darren McFadden RB, Oakland Raiders: McFadden’s hamstring injury appears to be of the milder variety, and he should be back on the field shortly. This latest incident has many of his owners spooked though, and they’re dying to make him someone else’s potential problem. He’s got a great few weeks after the Week 7 bye that will help you get over any midseason slumps.
Jacquizz Rodgers RB, Atlanta Falcons: Rodgers and been surprisingly effective in Steven Jackson’s absence, and Snelling’s concussion last game gave him even more run. The Falcons have a bye this this week, and then Jackson should be back in action the following week. Many owners will try to sell Rodgers away at this point, and you should take the bait. With the receiver problems Atlanta is having, Rodgers will retain value even after Jackson returns as a pass catching option in the backfield.
Greg Jennings WR, Minnesota Vikings: Josh Freeman may not seem like a big improvement at quarterback for Minnesota, but trust me– he is. And when he claims the starting spot, Jennings will be a prime beneficiary of that change. Jennings has been performing decently as of late, but few owners would mind parting him with him right now. He’s only going to get more involved as the season progresses.
